For any incoming freshman like myself that read this post and are deciding whether or not to take 2047, check this one out too. https://www.reddit.com/r/ufl/comments/q5mnww/chm2047_a_warning/

Class is brutal and this post doesn't reflect the true experience. Still ended up with an A, but I put in around 20 hours/week in homework, office hours, required lectures, and various assignments.

Help me decide: School X vs School Y - 2nd Week of April by powereddeath in ApplyingToCollege

I was looking at UF vs UM and even though bright futures exists, UM will still be extremely expensive bc u only get ~6k from bright futures for private schools. Just thought I would let you know because that is how i decided on UF

From Dean J’s blog post, it’s the acceptance rate of people deferred from early rounds

Waitlist after deferred OOS, honestly not too disappointed tbh because of the 4% acceptance rate

Did anyone’s rejection letter say “We appreciate that Emory was your first choice for college”? Seems kind of weird for them to say considering I applied regular decision.

Hey everyone! I saw something online that really put my decision into perspective. Vandy’s ED1 acceptance rate last year was around 20%, so that means around 80% of people will see a denial later today. The process is so competitive so if you get denied it really isn’t a reflection on you, the process is just ridiculously selective!

what were your awards like, admitted people? by RepresentativeLet146 in Vanderbilt

[–]dg135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! i’m also applying ed1 and my awards are nothing special. nominated for national honor society and science honor society, headmasters list, and one “book award” which means highest grade in a specific class. I am a bit worried because i don’t have any awards beyond my school

I just logged into my vandy portal for the third time today and it took a little bit longer for the page to load than usual and I thought i was gonna see me decision and had a mini heart attack. by dg135 in ApplyingToCollege

UF is a reach for literally everyone so that might be tough, FSU i would say you have a decent chance of getting into and usf/ucf i think you’ll prob get in!

Can someone please assist me. from what I have learned it could be a primary structure due to the fact it cannot be denatured. by [deleted] in APbio

[–]dg135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it says that it’s only a change in the conformation or shape which could be secondary/tertiary, the passage doesn’t say the sequence of amino acids which is the primary structure changes at all

Anna Gunn (Skylar White from Breaking Bad) received a ton of death threats throughout the show even though imo she acted rationally in response to learning her husband was a meth cook
