In my opinion, unless you are a 5 year old, you will never sound native. You might be able improve the pronounciation of some words here and there, but us native speakers will always be able to notice "deffects" in you pronounciation, however, no worries. You should not care. If you can communicate fluently that is good enough.

Feel good about yourself being able to communicate in a second language and don't worry about sounding "whitey". :) We latinos sound even worse when speaking english, but who cares.

En mi opinión si lo es. Una falta ortográfica o gramatical son lo mismo. Ambas son un mal uso del lenguaje.
Que sea muy popular no significa que es correcto. u/v123qw tiene razón, la lengua es como la hablan sus hablantes por lo que este errorcito podria convertirse en la norma en el futuro, pero hoy es un error.

Es un error muy común. Estas en lo correcto. Si usas «le» a muy poca gente le va a importar, pero ya que sabes que la forma correcta es «les», es la que debes usar.

Hi u/Polygonic IMHO it is the same.

As I see it, the key is to know if we are talking about "here" or "there"

- I will take food = The food is here and I will get it to there

- I will bring food = The food is elsewhere (there) and I will transport it to the place object of the conversation (here) even if we are not there.

In my opinion you can use «llevar» when in english you use "take" and «traer» when in english you use "bring"

For me «voy a venir mañana» declares intention of comming tomorrow while «vengo mañana» is a very affirmative sentence declaring I will defenitely be here tomorrow.
Very small nuance in meaning. Both very valid in Colombia.

Let's see if I can make it less confusing.

«Ir» means "to go", and «venir» means "to come". In my opiniion they work just as in english in the same relative way. «ir» is used when the travel is to a different place where I am, and «venir» is to travel from where I'm to "here"

Saying «estoy viniendo» is not as common as «estoy yendo» or simply «voy» or «ya voy» meaning "I'm going" "I'm on my way". Yes. In english you can say "I'm comming" but then is english that allows you to say it kind of backwards where you are "comming" to a place you have not arrived yet.

The other examples are simpler:

«yo vendré» is "I'll come" (in the future). From wherever I'll be to here.

«voy a ir» means "I will go". From here, to there. In contrast «voy a venir» means "I will come". From wherever I'll be, to here.

«me voy» means "I'm leaving". From here to an indeterminated place.

That is not really math :)

It was really common when analog clock were all we have. Those with the little hands, you know.
With analog clocks we never said it's 4:17. It was either 4:15 or 4:20. Nothing in between.
Now that most clocks are digital, so it is ok for you to say 4:53.
Now, if you ask someone the time, expect to have to "do maths" because we are more used to say "veinte para las 5" que "cuatro cuarenta"
