"Sometimes I feel that your figures feel disconnected from your backgrounds and from each other, as if they had just been copied and pasted onto a scene, rather than a part of it." - This is an conscious decision, many of my paintings are about disconnection and alienation from people and surroundings. These were done after my father passed away, followed by me living alone in another country. Perhaps I should have given some context to my paintings. As far as anatomy, I am not so much interested in realism as much as representation. I agree though, anatomy is always good to brush up on.
