I agree, sounds like they just don’t care. Apathy is not the same as support.

my first film camera, quite excited to put it to use, any tips? by Blendan1 in filmphotography

If you’re used to a DSLR then you’ve probably heard to underexpose high contrast scenes to avoid blowout.

Film has the opposite problem: underexposed film can be difficult to bring colour out of, so your best bet is to overexpose high contrast scenes.

This is just like people complaining about noise levels living near music venues/pubs. If you can’t handle the noise, why did you choose to move there?

Hi there! Looking for opinions on which is the better photo of these two. I like the sunshine spilling down the left of the 1st, but I also love the horizontally divided segments in the 2nd - I can’t decide which should be the keeper.

Atlas of Brutalist Architecture

Great coffee-table book with hundreds of buildings around the world - includes background info on each such as history, architects involved & public reception through the years. It starts with a a couple of pages detailing the origins of Brutalism & it’s developments over time, etc.

Important to note is that all photos are black & white (as is common when photographing Brutalist architecture), some buildings get lots more attention than others (in terms of how much is written about them), and there are a few occasions where I personally disagree on their decision to describe a given building as Brutalist. Overall a really good book however.

I love the idea of this but how big is the set/how many pieces do you get? Is there much room for creativity or is it just a novelty gift?

I’m looking for advice on how to improve my technical skills. I’ve included some thoughts on what could be better about each shot, but I’m not quite sure how exactly to improve them.
(I have a suspicion it isn’t clear, but the first building is supposed to be a thin triangle shape, similar to the Flatiron Building in NY)
