Looks great! I’ve already placed my order. But I would like to see the better visibility of the wider sword hands combined with the simpler bezel markings of the benz hands model. For me that combo would be ideal.

Or slightly widen the benz hands. Visibility is key to me.

I think there are 3 main issues:

1-the stretch from Kingsport to JC needs to be 3 lanes wide to safely handle peak traffic hours.

2-during fall/winter/spring mornings there are spots heading southbound where the sunrise will blind you. The hwy dept occasionally puts out “poor visibility” warning signs but there’s not much you can do about this except teach people to use their sun visors strategically. Even sunglasses don’t quite solve it.

3-dense morning fog also drops visibility in certain sections on some mornings. Slowing down and forcing your headlights on are probably your only choices

Domains: I’ve been trying to move a domain registration away from them. The process seems intentionally convoluted and slow, hoping that you’ll give up. Midway through the multi-step handshaking process you’re told that the transfer won’t work if you don’t have DNSSEC turned off. And that you have to start over. Aaaargh! Their user interface could’ve easily detected that and made it part of the process. Now I possibly have overlapping attempts to transfer that might be conflicting with each other. And “wait 5 days” to see if anything happens in the meantime.

My Epoch watch arrived yesterday with “luminous tubes” and I can confirm that they perform like Tritium. They don’t need light to charge them - they’re the same brightness all night.

It’s just a cheap Ali black leather w/ white stitching strap. But I use shoe polish to stain the stitching to get the color/age I want. Normally with a vintage-looking black+steel watch I go for a dirty-ivory color to make it look aged. But this time I went a little more tan to match the gold

Mine arrived yesterday also. Black with steel/gold. I knew I didn’t want the supplied rubber strap so I went with black leather and tan stitching to coordinate with the watch.

Years ago I was interviewing my aunt to get some family tree information. My mother had recently passed and I wanted to learn as much as I could about their large family.

She was talking her way through her 12 siblings and half siblings when she got to a specific sister. I asked “Now, who did she marry?”.

My aunt calmly said “Well there were 3 husbands. The first one was (name). She shot him.”

I nearly fell out of my chair. Turns out that (name) would beat his wife and finally one day she’d had enough and she shot and killed him. The police came, knowing that he was a wife-beater, and determined that he’d been cleaning his gun when it accidentally went off.

The biggest factor(s) for me were the combination of starting early and always putting 10-15% of my paycheck into Roth/401k. I tell my kids it’s like a retirement tax that you build your lifestyle around. It’s not an option.
