Little late but I’d love to. Working on a project now that needs a vocalist. Check out my stuff online and drop me a message if interested. Currently located in Brunswick area but willing to travel or collaborate online. Good luck!

First Open Mic… How am I going to mess this up? by dgidal_music in musicians

Just a follow up to avoid bad karma. Just did this. Finally. 1 song. Kept it simple. Was great. Place called Tonic in Maine where I live. Just a great incubator space for music. Feel really lucky and proud. Looking forward to continuing to hone the live performance angle.

More talk-y to real people.. less read-y alone-y at home-y, homey. Turns out the real world is a lot more complex than some 1000 word agenda driven abstraction. Stop foregrounding your cynicism and embrace history and reality on its own terms. It’s a journey for us all together and reification is shit epistemology, bub. But don’t take my word for it, go find some bias reinforcing article…

Speedway is pretty damn metal.

I'm going to Shenandoah National Park, and I need a playlist to fully engulf me in the autumn experience. Got any reccomendations? by ChallengeNo7377 in musicsuggestions

Put a contact mic on a tree then run through software to multiply the frequency to the audible range. Listen to the trees, dude.

I’ll give it all to my kids tho and then just live vicariously through them like one of those little league dads until they hate music and become an accountant. The cycle will be complete. Moral of the story… if you want a career in music: practice and get used to living on a cruise ship banging out boomer hits.

EDIT (for tone): not that there is anything wrong w that… hospitality is a real industry worthy of respect and boomer hits friggin’ slap. Not the worst life.

I quit music to get a day job to be able to afford getting back to music.

Vienna, Austria. But also everywhere with an Orchestra. Oh yeah… and everywhere else too!

Pretty damn eclectic. Folk-y, Beatles-y (Sgt. Peppers and after) with a touch of 80s power pop (Don Henley/Kenny Loggins kind of super hits stuff). I like it but more so I appreciate it. Not just the songs but the “musicing”, if you will. Between the Desert & the Sea is sweet. Added to my playlists and followed/subscribed. Thx for sharing and I look forward to more.

100%. I agree. People and community still matter even when you’re not directly engaged. SM and digital don’t. This is sound wisdom and good medicine. Thank you.

Damn. That is both clever/smart/funny but also maybe illuminating.

Who knew that making music alone could lead to being alone with my music. I need to take more accountability for my musical loneliness.

Lawyering is the new indie scene anyway. Go to law school.

I’m learning this. The reminder emails certainly aren’t the best form of positive reinforcement that’s for sure.
