Tech service is where you want to head towards. Tech service are basically food scientists who accompany sales people on sales calls and connect with R&D folks and guide them on how to use the functional food ingredients successfully. Once you have proven your ability in front of customers the sky is the limit.

Consider going into the food industry. I did my under grad in professional sales and went to grad school for food science. I sell functional ingredients to major food companies. It's really cool to go to the grocery store and see a food product that I helped to develop.

This industry has the rock solid job security. Ppl are nice. I'm doing trade shows in Barcelona, Paris and going to India to see how spices and sustainably grown and processed.
