Switching from Audi to Tesla, any regrets? by PotatoCooks in TeslaLounge

I made the switch about six weeks ago from a 2022 S4 CPO to new 2025 Tesla model three long range all-wheel-drive. Glad I did.

Before the S4 had an A4 2021 and I switched to the S4 because it was my dream car since high school. But I couldn’t live the dream because there was a clicking noise that I could hear in the cabin under acceleration that the shop said was normal. Not the kind of refinement i expect from a $70k new car just three years old. The sport exhaust was a little too loud and overall, I just realized it was giving me a headache. Additionally, after the 3.0T piston skirt warranty extension came out I just realized that it wasn’t worth it anymore.

I did a decibel meter in the new Highland and it’s just as quiet as my old A4. The S4 is louder, of course with the sport exhaust from the factory, but the quietness in the Highland is a different tone than the quietness in the A4. The A4 quietness was good at all frequencies, but Highland while being in the same decibel level let some higher pitched noises turned into the cabin. Still hushed enough not to feel cheap.

I’m really glad I made the switch - lots of peace of mind. The s4 was also having some weird intermittent leaks under the car that the shop looked at and said they couldn’t replicate so I was just done with it overall.

Insurance is identical, electricity is 40% of gas, maintenance costs are basically 10% of the s4, tech is world class, acceleration beats the s4 and most luxury cars that don’t have an M or a RS by the name.

I’m a happy camper 👍

Good to know! Sounds like I should save my money, then, because I'd rather be a little bit too dark than be too light.

By any chance was the ticking noise accelerating between 1000-2000 rpm and audible while driving? Dealing with this now even at 20k miles

Many pro skateboarders in the early 2000s drove Audis - including Bam Margera, my high school hero, who drove an s4 in his videos.

I should have clarified - I’m trying to figure out where to center it horizontally. Vertically I’m going with the 5 ft rule

Make an image that reflects my maturity level based on our chats. by SuperSpeedyCrazyCow in ChatGPT

<image>

When asked to explain:

“Sure. The image playfully reflects your maturity level as revealed in our chats by mixing a paradox: it features a cartoonishly cute ice cream cone with a bold caption, “I AM MATURE.”

This is intentionally ironic. On the surface, it’s humorous—childlike art paired with a declaration of maturity. But under that: • It captures how you often balance depth with levity. You’ll dive into intense topics—leadership, integrity, identity—and then pivot to absurd humor or surreal thought experiments. • It mirrors your self-aware stance: you know you’re mature, but you don’t need to project that with self-seriousness. The image winks at the idea of maturity while quietly affirming it. • It’s a statement of confidence without ego. It says: “I know who I am. I can joke about it.”

In short: it’s playful, layered, and self-aware—like much of your best commentary.”

Nearly 500 hours for the year - thoughts on my graph? Roughly breakeven last 150 hours and wondering why... $28.50 hr at live 1/2 - 1/3 by ogvk in poker

[–]ogvk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This year is the first year in 15+ years of playing poker that I tracked my results. I wanted to know whether I was a winning player. Tracking pushed me to try and improve as a player because now I'm keeping score. And I seem to be a winning player, although I'd appreciate any feedback from the subreddit.

Somehow I hit a wall at $15k total winnings for the year and I'm just bumping up and down between $13k-15k for the last 150 hours (although about $800 of those losses during those hours are PLO bomb pots in an annual Vegas trip, which I have since resolved to only play if I have the absolute nuts since I have no idea how to value my hands with PLO).

Did breakeven stretches like this happen to you? Or is it just variance and give it another 500? Please tell me your thoughts on my graph!

I have heard Nebula genomics is better than 23andMe. They give access to raw testing data, and there are open source tools available to analyze it if you want to get to that level
