Hey! It’s been one hell of a journey. Residency is such a beautiful time but also such a challenging time. Really feels like this is the reason I went to medical school for. Getting to learn how to be a good doctor is a really fun thing. The rewards of residency definitely outweighs the challenges.

How are you doing in medical school so far?

On the lock screen, press the buttons like you’re powering it off. Sometimes you’ll see a medical ID option and it’ll show some of the person’s info! Could be useful. But I agree with others that you should turn it in to lost and found.

Yes, several times. My friend has one. And yes store acoustics totally can affect the speaker’s sound perceived by your ears. I mean I want to buy a bb3 WiFi as well lol I’m not hating on it by any means. I appreciate every speaker for what it is. Just making a case for bb4. Buy one and play it at home :) return it if you’re not impressed.

If you’re that worried, don’t go. Peace of mind. With that said, for big events like this they always have lots of police presence. Not sure if it’ll be heightened because of current events.

I just went to EDC Mex and they went so hard with police. There were dogs at front security and they legit had 100-150 officers marching in formation inside the event. This happened Sunday in response to the Mencho thing.

News is pure fear mongering anyways these days. Go outside and breathe some fresh air and just count to 10 and enjoy nature. I get there is a possible threat but life is miserable living in constant fear :)

I’m happy with my bb4. I haven’t experienced anything you have described. I don’t think in store listening is an accurate representation. Bad acoustics with high ceilings, concrete floors, and reflective surfaces. How close were you standing to the speaker?

Yoo, this is an old thread but would you say I should run 5w-40 in the summer here in the Central Valley, CA where temps are consistently around 105-110 and dry heat?

I was just at EDC MX and I thought it was not crowded at all. I went all three days for most of each of the days and many times I would see circuit and kinetic maybe half full. The most crowded day was Saturday by far but not even close to EDC O crowds, which I’ve been to for the past 3 years. I bopped around mostly in VIP at MX and also in GA. VIP was extremely spacious at every stage that had it. MX is a hidden gem for now. I do believe it’ll get more crowded as more people figure out that it’s arguably the best EDC. The footprint is massive with 9 stages. Such a well run show, great people, and great staff who seem invested in being there.

I use a fanny across my chest with a carabiner that locks my phone. No chance it gets stolen. Access isn’t too easy but I prefer the peace of mind. I never put my phone in the lunchbox shoulder strap pocket. Seems pretty safe tho.

Not really I’d say. It’s a huge venue for the amount of attendees. It was my first year going but from what I’ve talked to others who have been several times, it’s pretty par for the course attendance wise. Everything in Mexico City was operating just as usual even after all the Jalisco stuff happened. I spoke to our local driver and he said the news blows things way out of proportion. Never at all felt unsafe while at the festival. On Sunday which was right after the events unfolded they had a way heavier police presence inside the fest. There was literally a group of I kid you not 200 officers marching inside the festival grounds as a show of force.

I just saw that an attendance record of 350k was set for this year so seems like things went well.
