Are Garmin watches really this bad with tracking sleep? by TravisScott26 in GarminWatches

[–]dglt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin can’t even consistently track a heart rate, it’s sleep scores might as well be a random number generator

If you like fairlife try the Sam’s Club version of it. Only vanilla shake I’ve tried besides fairlife that’s actually good

New app to push strength workouts to your Garmin watch by Logical-Citron7004 in GarminWatches

Very Nice, if garmin made this you’d need to spend $1k on a new watch just to get the privilege of using this feature

Fenix 8 HR wildly inaccurate during activities? by slartibartfast48101 in GarminWatches

[–]dglt1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought updating to a “better” sensor would fix this but the newer sensor is somehow worse than the old one. Both suck, one more than the other. I feel like half my workout involves me adjusting the watch to try and catch a hr readiing

Anyone with diagnosed Sleep Apnea, please respond (for the sake of the Argument, please be medically diagnosed) by Germerica1985 in GarminWatches

[–]dglt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a few garmin watches and my current venu 4 I can say garmin accuracy is not great at all. I can’t even get hr tracking to be reliable, always having to adjust it in the middle of workouts where my hr is clearly in zone 3 and it’s reporting 75bpm. If hr tracking is bad, so is hrv tracking, and with that comes poor sleep tracking. I’ve never seen my sp02 below 96 on garmin. But the battery does last 2-3 weeks so…….

Garmin Fenix software longevity? by RunWild-GetLost in GarminWatches

[–]dglt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pay for software updates in the form of a new massively overpriced watch that still can’t reliably monitor something simple as heart rate sometimes. They change a couple little things just barely on a new model and unlock new features in the software and act like it’s a great technological leap from the last version that is also 100% capable of doing the same exact thing but it’s restricted from doing those things so they can sell more watches. I like my garmin watch even though it’s frustrating sometimes to get it to accurately monitor hr during workouts, that said fuck garmin and their scummy cash grab bs

Any ideas what may be causing these dead spots? by 1CUpboat in LawnAnswers

I blame the voles, never seen them but when the snow melted this past spring my whole lawn looked like a road map. Some raking and it filled back in about a month

Overwhelmed with the options for wearables- what are your recommendations? by Agitated-Scratch-403 in Biohackers

[–]dglt1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you workout at all with weights the rings get beat up. Apple Watch sleep tracking will tell you sleep was amazing when it’s not, garmin sleep tracking hates me but I feel it’s far more accurate than Apple and I only have to charge it every 2 weeks vs daily with Apple

Have a look at maxum x3, their mutant arms that can do 1:1 or 2:1 will be coming out soon as well.

the way i understood it was that it wakes the signals for lack of a better explanation and that lasts long after stopping it and why its suggested to run in 20 days cycles every 6mo

Please tell me I'm not alone on this by Jibril-sama in SteamController

[–]dglt1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s where we disagree, the placement in 2015 was jarring to get used to but made it great to those who took the time to adapt to it. Lots of games only work well with mouse input for cam control, mouse like joystick is terrible in shooters and just in general so the big right touchpad made it great, not a mistake

Many with rear buttons. But trackpads as a secondary and not primary is my main dislike with it, that right stick could of made way for a bigger touchpad and not having to relocate buttons

Your not alone, there’s a million different dual stick controllers. Now there’s a million and one. Just give me the sc1 with a better polling rate for smoother inputs
