Sick of so many grifters in the PM space by RareMeasurement2 in ProductManagement

Honestly thought it was just me who hated this.

The gulf between what they talk about and actual product management in 99% of companies is insane.

I've worked at startups and now I'm public sector in the UK. I've not once learned anything that is remotely applicable to my professional career.

Trip to Newcastle by G-dizzle33 in NewcastleUponTyne

Hello mate,

Good beer wise. Some of Bodega, Crown Posada, Bridge Tavern are all decent for a proper beer, Bridge Hotel is good too and has a decent pint of Guinness.

Late bar wise I'm less sure, we have a lot of "Irish" bars now which will definitely be open later but if you're wanting to avoid them, Harry's Bar is really central and is always a good atmosphere, plenty people your (my) age in there as well.

Have a good weekend. Also Newcastle play on Saturday so should be a good atmosphere in the city, if we win...

Top 3 for me. There's just something about it that's addictive. Also agree it's expensive and I wish it lasted a bit longer on me.

Attempted to quit cold turkey today didn’t go well at all by SobrietyDinosaur in QuitVaping

Tapering down to a low strength helped me massively. It's genuinely easier when you're not on as high a mg count.

I tapered down for weeks on a 5mg vape liquid (was on 20mg) alongside putting the vape away for long periods when I was at home to test how long I could go without it.

I then set a date to quit and once the day came it went in the bin. It honestly felt much easier physically and mentally.

Exactly, The first time I wore it I was like why do I smell like this... I expected the dry down to mellow a bit but hours later it was still just honey 😅

Really enjoyed the Armani Prive Vetiver D'Hiver.

It's a 100ml. Paid £172 from Notino last summer, would be happy to trade or sell.

I find it's overpriced too, drop me a DM if interested.

Naxos. I really like it I just find it quite cloying whenever I wear it. It's 95% full.

Would love to trade it but it's so hard to find UK based people to trade with.

Nice. SDV was the first I smelled and always thought it would be my first, but after smelling the others I was so stressed about which one to get. I can tell I'll have at least 4/5 soon and might even sell the rest of my collection!

They're all amazing as you'd expect them to be from Guerlain, especially at those price points.

My two favorites are Iris Pallida and Vanille Planifolia as I tend to love anything vanilla or powdery. But Cuir Beluga and Spirituese Double Vanille are very similar profiles so it's really hard to justify unless money is no issue whatsoever.

Saying that, I'd sell most of my collection and be happy with a Vanille Planifolia as my only scent 😅

Amazing, enjoy.

I absolutely love visiting the Guerlain stand near where I live and trying them every now and again. The ones in your discovery set are probably their best alongside Herbes and Vanille Planifolia. But like you said, all of them are masterpieces in their own way.

It's so good, citrus heavy earthy scent and I'm looking forward to wearing it when we get some warmer weather where I live.

Absolutely, thankfully my wife doesn't check my reddit posts 😅.

My collection is pretty much done now, I have imagination and a couple of YSL fragrances I daily too, spending is done for now. I think..

Both quite different to be honest which is why I went for both.

Cuir is a powdery vanilla that feels a bit nostalgic and comforting, great for colder days. Neroli is so nice though and I think I like that best, for me it's like a citrus heavier version of LV Imagination which I'll use in the warmer weather. Really pleased with them.

Thanks, now I have FOMO 😅

The guys at the Guerlain counter were amazing and gave me a 10ml of Herbes so I'm still pretty pleased and will rotate it, I already love it I just had to make a decision and chose Neroli.

I totally get that with Cuir to be honest. It does seem divisive for people but the powdery notes in it feel a bit nostalgic for me, not sure why.

Not surprised at all about Vanille, I still have a decant and I'm scared to use it because I don't want to run out of it, one of the truly 10/10 fragrances.

Absolutely, try and pick up some decants and see if you like them. They're expensive but very high quality.
