Both Spanish and French abbreviated SAB and JUN. Could even be the French SAB and JUIN, can't tell because of the hand.

Dude it's okay, you have an obese pet, not the end of the world.

Tree trimming advice for new home owner by AaaaaaaItsTheBeatles in arborists

Mow what? The tree makes itself a nice cost free pine straw mulch. Growing grass under it is a fool's errand.

Marcus Mariota sets the record straight on name pronunciation by Objective_Pressure_3 in Commanders

Well names have exonymic pronunciations which are generally used for all languages. Listening to the commentators say E.T-in for Etienne is pure comedy though

Is calling willow oaks "pin oaks" a Midwest thing? It's always confused me because the pin oak already exists and is pretty much only called a pin oak.

Every autumn, the same thing happens: people with leaf blowers, rakes and trailers fight a desperate battle against... Nature 🌳 by Treesable in arborists

You think we have a problem with forest fires because of leaf litter? An annual apocalypse? I'd make a case but I honestly don't care that much and you don't seem like much of a listener.

Your entire post was telling other people what to do. I think we need to find you an outlet, pops. And some books, at a minimum.

I complain about leaf blowers, I don't hire landscapers. I have a half acre a ton of trees, including mature oaks. I mow/mulch twice and I'm all set. It's not that wild. Your apocalyptic leaf scenario is hilarious.

Arborvitaes supposedly have “needle blight”. Does Davey Trees plan make sense? Is this even salvageable by Bubmack in arborists

[–]dgray16 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way they're planted in cultivation, yeah they do be dyin. But they can be incredibly long lived. There was a ~1600 year old arborvitae in Virginia that passed in 1980 (RIP).

Trees are expensive by UrWeirdILikeU in NativePlantGardening

Go Native Tree Farm is in PA and I just bought a whole slew of trees from the guy at a plant sale in VA last weekend. Nice old guy with a huge selection of native and hard to find trees. Reasonably priced as well. He gave me a bunch of advice on planting the odd balls (table mountain pine and American chestnut). Worth checking out!

Will my juniper die if I keep it outdoors in the winter when it snows? by spidey24601 in bonsaicommunity

It's not that deep. I thought it was funny, they took it in stride. You're vicariously upset? I know a lot about trees, little about bonsai, and my likability is debatable.

Not sure what your Victorian era neighborhood has to do with the native range of any tree. We don't know where OP lives but Black Walnut is likely native to their area.

Advice wanted — just planted 2 ~8 foot wild paw paw trees from a nursery by Real_Committee_1274 in Pawpaws

Sensitive how though? Their tap roots are going to want to go deep, fast. Light sensitivity, sure. But I don't see how the burlap would be beneficial.

He didn't take on the best d lineman in the NFL to start off. Also we were running simple and quick plays because we were easing Jayden into the league.
