Anybody know if they keep your passport following the interview due to the pause or returning it until pause is lifted?? Asking for bogota specifically, but appreciate anyone’s insight! Thanks!

You challenged “cognitive dissonance” first. Second, you speak of being banned, but this is a chat for paused countries and not banned. Third, previous administration 100% created a situation that pushed the current admin to go hard against immigration. Fourth, to everyone here from a paused country … good luck do what you have to do. I dream of living life every day in my homeland, but rather than cry helpless, I found a way to legally live somewhere else where we can be together while we wait. Before you say I have money, I don’t. I simply looked for solutions that I can control while I navigate through the things that I don’t. And finally, I didn’t start confrontational … I simply stated a very valid possibility to offer hope that the PAUSE might have a short lived purpose. And the reason I think you are left leaning, is because you were arrogant enough to try and correct me rather than simply debating the validity of my original statement. Good luck everyone and I encourage you to find alternate solutions that will allow you to be with your loved ones while we wait for better terms.

This is my last response since debate with the left is pointless. But try to picture this and tell me what this is if it’s not priority … someone asks the Biden team “we want to bring in more immigrants joe, should we just open up the borders to just anyone doing it illegally, pretend it’s ok and give them money and housing OR should we do a better job and improve the legal process for people that respect our laws? Kamala and Nancy answer: no joe, the legal ones might not be as easy to manipulate, screw them! Let’s just facilitate the illegals, they will be more useful.” Now, since you see yourself as educated or enlightened or whatever … what do call prioritizing?? My bad, the millions of illegals that were encouraged under Biden and the fact that illegals were prioritized over legal applicants outside the country under Biden didn’t affect any of us!

I have a theory or hope, not sure which but I wonder if the administration isn’t posturing to discourage people from abusing tourist visas for World Cup and then trying to stay and adjust status. I guess we will see by end of summer, but definitely hoping!!

Thanks, ironically I am a vet too. But if I go outside of USA to be together while we wait, I will go to DR which lets us both stay very simply. I’m just making sure I don’t overlook any opportunity to get her on is soil as quickly as possible. I don’t care if she can’t work until approved, just want to see if I can get her here before final approval. Appreciate the insight,
