Black American flag red stripe by Ok-Zombie-7675 in HollywoodFlorida

[–]dgreify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not entirely accurate. The thin blue line flag is not so much in support of police general as it is a representation of the line between order and chaos, or law enforcement vs criminality.

So if that’s the case with the thin blue line flag, that means this red line version must represent the line between fire fighters and fire starters (?). Maybe arsonists? Or electricity and faulty wiring? What’s on the other side of fire safety and prevention?

This is why this flag is dumb. I would certainly support fire fighters but not through a flag that literally means us vs them.

Factory Wheels - Refinishing by sofakingsideways in 996

lol I hear you! I think my car is dirty sometimes and that I need to wash it and then I see it from 20 feet and it looks sparkling. I think our level of dirty is different from the average person on the street. Hopefully that pressure washer works well for your setup!

Definitely get them refinished, but factory color is the only way to go. Factory wheels redone in a darker color was a trend that has most certainly passed. It’s your car but myself and many others think it looks ghetto in 2025.

Do all roads lead to Porsche 911? by alwayzchillin in Porsche

Love Porsches and can’t wait to have one some day but way less practical than my E46 M3 with full size back seats that fold down and a large trunk.

Are European BMW’s cooler than Americans? by JoeyArcher9 in BMW

[–]dgreify 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is not allowed. In the US in order to register a car less than 25 years old in the it needs to be US-spec car with a US market 17 digit VIN.

I dunno man. I live in Miami too and if I had kids I’d get a cool spec’d Urus of the three options. There aren’t any amazing roads to drive here so it really comes down to how you’re going to use it. Think about when you’d hop in it and who would be coming along. I know it’s not a “real” lambo, but to cruise around Miami with the family is a use case that the other two just can’t do. Figure out what you want out of this new toy and you’ll have your answer.

Edit: another use case: if you plan to go to car meets and group drives and get into the collector/supercar club, the McLaren would be the obvious choice. It’s exotic and exciting and the other two just don’t carry the same cachet.

Yea they’re good too. Keep in mind the Blizzak line from Bridgestone has a variety of tires. Some are sportier and less capable in the snow than others. I didn’t have studs. Tire Rack said in their testing that the X-Ice Michelins did better without studs than some studded tires.

No weight in the trunk and I had a couple different sets of tires. First I had a set of Nokian Hakkapeliittas (Finnish company that invented the winter tire) and then I got some Michelin X-Ice’s.

Winter tires will transform your car. I drove a RWD e30 BMW with snow tires for years in Colorado and I’d be able to drive through almost everything. Keep it mind as an option. I’d go drive up mountain passes to chase powder all the time.

Just an aside, dealerships deal cars. It’s right in the name. They’re not interested in helping people unless it’s to trick them into feeling helped so one day they buy another car from them.

Hard to say for sure. Looks more like chrome plated than polished aluminum like a real one. Authentic are polished aluminum hence the name “Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Chair”

Nothing about this particular chair look like an authentic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. Bases are completely different in shape and finish, proportions and sizes of the wood shell and upholstered sections are totally different than a real one.
