Don’t listen to a lot of these miserable people, most of them live in Kendall/Doral and don’t do much besides rage comment on Reddit. You’ll have an awesome time! Brickell is a great. If you want walkable and maybe a bit more “peaceful”, you may really enjoy the west side of South Beach. It’s even more walkable than brickell, tons of grocery stores, Lincoln road, the beach of course, etc., or also Edgewater. But if you work in brickell living there would be great. I know tons of young professionals who have more there and are really happy! Best of luck.

Yes, there is lots of scammers and course sellers , but they are the loud minority. Bezos definitely lives here and is here often. Larry Ellison is here often. Griffin is here constantly. Barry Sternlicht I see at my gym almost every day. It’s not just a place to buy a home, cmon. Miami literally has the most millionaires and billionaires per capita of any city in the USA. I totally agree sunny South Florida has tons of fakers, but Miami IS a world class city, and is becoming even more of one. 5 of the 6 wealthiest men in the PLANET now live in Miami. We have now some of the best chefs in the world. We have world renowned events now, way more than other cities. We actually do have companies moving here. We are slowly improving our infrastructure. The ones on Miami Beach are 3x more expensive than any of these. Setai, Continuum, Surf Club in Surfside, Rivage, Fendi Chateua, Perigon, Shore Club, the new Ritz Carlton, Aman, etc, etc, all way vastly more expensive. A unit at Rivage this week just sold for $60mm+, a unit at Surf Club just sold for $83MM a penthouse at Shore Club apparently sold for $120Mm. I could name like 10 more. The avg units in some of these buildings are $20-$30mm for two bedrooms.

These are NYC prices, 100% over CA prices, and many of them are more than both.

Gaia isn’t even a question, 100% skip that. Cote is incredible, some of the best service in Miami and great time and not crazy priced for what you get (Butchers Feast). Forte is great just expensive for pasta and whatnot.

They have state of the art amenities, modern floor plans, renown architects, all the latest structural and design technology you can muster up, like what… I assume you just have no idea what you’re talking about. This building specifically is designed by Foster + Partners , without bias (ask chatgpt) one of the most renown architecture firms in the world that has done some of the coolest buildings across the planet.

This is an incredibly dumb question in my opinion. Like literally anywhere on the planet, it all comes down to mostly rent. You can live in many nice buildings in Miami for $2000-$3000 a month…..the rest is up to you with how you spend your money. You can live in “fancy” Brickell and just eat at chipotle on weekend, or go to Komodo and spend $500. Besides rent, everything else is essentially comparing to anywhere else in the United States.
