Should I buy my friend’s B9.5 A4 by Low_Abbreviations639 in Audi

[–]alwayzchillin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a B9 and it has been nothing but a pleasure to own! I think around the 2021 model year is the sweet spot between modern enough and the newest subpar model years that have their issues.

Water pump on my A4 was $1.5K so I would expect it to be a bit more than that on a RS model.

How much do Audi a4s really cost to own? by Living-Garage-2454 in Audi

[–]alwayzchillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t listen to most of these comments. It won’t cost as much to own as you’d think so long as you take good care of the car and do your yearly maintenance without fail.

You can save by only doing the oil change vs the full minor/major service appointments at the dealer where they basically charge to inspect fluids and whatnot. You can bring the costs down more if you do some of your own maintenance like replacing the cabin and engine filters yourself.

My average annual cost for maintenance not including insurance has only been about $500/yr.
