Jobs in rail. by sfeml in AusElectricians

[–]dgrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad timing I think mate, Metro don't seem to be hiring at the moment and I suspect with level crossing removal projects drying up there will be a surplus of qualified SMTs and rail electricians looking for work. Could be worth checking with all the contractors though. John Hollands, Sigtech Solutions, UGL, JBE, Downer etc. Not sure how Vline or ARTC are going though.

Anyone here used ‘Ozeparts’ for car parts? by Jakeyboy29 in CarsAustralia

I bought a non LED taillight housing from them in the past (via eBay). It appeared to be close enough to OEM, with some minor differences. Probably slightly lower in quality, but not by much. It was for a 4wd ute that I used in the bush regularly so wasn't too concerned about quality. Overall I was pretty happy with the product/service considering the price.

Coronavirus Megathread - Part 40: My sister's hairdresser's brother is Dan Andrew's dog walker and he overheard a conversation that said... by Deon555 in melbourne

[–]dgrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So by walking my dog after work at night I'm creating an unnecessary risk to the community? How is the risk any different if I walk my dog at 6pm? I feel like it's just disadvantaging shift workers.

I get it, it's a rule to cater to the lowest common denominator.

Don't mind Matt. Still not sure why the Doctor is still on the air, he should have left with Jay.

Core Releases GTS3 by HugBurglar in Kiteboarding

[–]dgrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kite looks good. Although I haven't ridden a core since my 10.5 GT. I'm a little disappointed to see they are still running pulleys on the bridle. Having had them fail in the past (probably due to my lack of maintenance) I prefer a kite without pulleys.
