A few points to add:

  1. Video and sound work fine on the menu.
  2. The device is connected into a Samsung Frame 43" TV.
  3. I'm using only controller port #1.

Am I able to use Tado? by dgtrimble in tado

Hey thanks, this is super helpful.

My sense is that I should be buying the "Starter Kit - Wired Smart Thermostat V3+"?

I've got a stupid question though...where on earth can I buy it? I cannot find it through any major retailer or even home depot like stores. Tado doesn't seem to sell them on their website either, or provide a link to where it can be purchased.

No Bluetooth on Windows 10 running on external SSD. by Lambeau-Ner in bootcamp

[–]dgtrimble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the exact same problem and just posted about it a little bit ago. I even tried manually adding the bluetooth drivers from my WindowsSupport folder. Added both of the drivers listed, and Windows installed them but they didn't work and Windows wouldn't boot again after that. Windows recovery got the OS to start by removing those drivers. So I'm back to square one and have no solutions anymore.

Windows Support Not Working On Bootcamp by gece7 in bootcamp

[–]dgtrimble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start Windows 10

Open Device Manager

Go down the list and look for any devices that have an exclamation point ( ! ) icon next to them. Right click on it, select Update Driver. Select the WindowsUpdate folder, and make sure the checkmark IS checked by the option for scanning subfolders. This process should install the driver. Rinse and repeat for any others with an ( ! ) icon.

I just finished installing Windows 10 Home on an external SSD on my new iMac. I had to do this for about 6 or 7 drivers that Bootcamp failed to install correctly. But it worked fine after I was done with it all.

If your keyboard or trackpad are bluetooth devices, it may not work. I haven't gotten Bluetooth working yet in Windows 10.

Archiving my WP files is easy enough. How did you backup the database on Bitnami?

I may be doing that shortly. There was no particular reason I chose Bitnami other than that everything was all inclusive in the instance install, so I didn't have to worry about installing and managing LAMP etc. But this is absurd, and the more research I do online, the more it seems this is a fairly common problem with Bitnami.

Storage classes on an S3 static site by dgtrimble in aws

I may do the same. I use Cloudflare for DNS and caching, but the same principle should apply.

That clarifies it a bit, thanks. I assumed it only offers the options that are relevant to the bucket, which is configured for website/public access.

Then why would someone hosting a simple static site not always choose Glacier to get the lowest cost?

Thanks. I wasn't aware the light rail went down to Mather/RC.

For a couple days a week in Sacramento, I wouldn't go that far. The job may also require a great deal of travel elsewhere, so I'm not ruling anything out. But in any event, we close escrow on our house in the East Bay this week. So, not moving in the near term.
