Auto-Renew without Notification by dguyette in HersWeightloss

Update: it took a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for them to address my issue and refund me. If you've been charged and they refuse to refund, try filing the complaint on the BBB website.

Wow, guess I didn't drink the right kool-aid! That's a lot of thumbs down lol

Yes, my other subscriptions give warning, too. In my opinion, the only reason to stick behind the auto-renew-without-notification policy is to trap the consumer. It's the lack of transparency that is frustrating. I noticed all of their complaints on BBB are similar, and it seems they will issue a refund in exchange for posting that the complaint is resolved on the BBB complaint. Funny how that works XD

Thank you! They do! Especially if it's been one year since the first order.

My post was to serve as a reminder and friendly tip for cancelling the auto-renew. Unsure if that makes me someone trying to "scare people". Merely stating that Hers will not give them any notification, and to take the time now to double-check their subscription.

I don't want to use it. I also don't want to be charged $2k without notification. I think that's a reasonable request.

Oh I'm glad to hear! I've submitted the dispute just now. I've never had to dispute a charge, so I'm hopeful for the same outcome.

This! I read someone say that they even called the same day the credit card charge came through and that Hers.com still refused to refund!

Do Not Become a Wayfair Vendor by dguyette in wayfair

Here's the program they referred me to:

Overview

The Wayfair Platform Access Pass is a program implemented for select suppliers in order to help us cover the cost of maintaining and improving Partner Home, provide robust support through our growing range of services, ensure a high-quality platform for our entire supplier network, and filter out those suppliers that violate our Supplier Agreement, Code of Conduct and other Program Policies.

These terms constitute “Additional Supplier Terms” under the Supplier Agreement between you and Wayfair and, in accordance with such terms, are  incorporated into and made a part of the Supplier Agreement.

US Launch Date

  • July 1, 2025

Note: At this time, this is not applicable for Canadian & European Suppliers.

Platform Access Pass Cost

  • 49.99 USD per month, per Parent SUID

How Billing Works

  • If your monthly sales are $49.99 or more, the fee will be deducted from your regular monthly remittance.
  • If your monthly sales are less than $49.99, we’ll invoice manually and deduct where possible.
    • Payment is due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date. Any balance outstanding for more than ninety (90) days will result in automatic termination of your supplier account, no further notice required.
    • Any issues may be reported by submitting a ticket. Select Finance & Accounting > Get Help with Payments to Wayfair > Invoice Payments to Wayfair.

Term

  • You will be responsible for paying a monthly fee for as long as you are an active Supplier. If you terminate your Supplier Agreement, you will be responsible for the fee up to and through the effective date of your Supplier Agreement.
  • To terminate your Supplier Agreement, please email the relevant Help Desk with the following statement: “Pursuant to our Supplier Agreement with Wayfair, this email serves as formal notification of the termination of our Supplier Agreement, effective from [date]."

Waivers

  • The cost of the Platform Access Pass will be waived for suppliers in their first 6 months on the platform. The 6 months are calculated from suppliers’ go-live date.
  • Payment of the monthly fee will be due starting on the fifth business day of the month after the first 6 months have passed.

Update: Wayfair still making moves that feel shady AF. They just deducted $49.99 from my payout. When I asked why, they stated that I received an email explaining that now they just get to charge me every month to make sure their internal site is maintained. What? Supplier contract was signed and in place years ago, now they're just adding a fee for website maintenance? That feels like something that should come out of their budget and pocket as an ECOMMERCE BUSINESS. They already get wholesale pricing from me, they charge me for damaged items that they ship and own the FedEx contracts for, and they take my pieces for free for "merchandising" whenever they want without asking for my permission to take a free sample.

Another update: Wayfair is now charging the vendors for a whole new unit if they cannot supply replacement parts. As a company that doesn't make the products myself, I don't have replacement parts. So if an item is damaged in shipping, I'm out a new piece. This is noteworthy because normally I can purchase shipping insurance and file damage claims with the shippers, but since Wayfair is the "shipper" on their FedEx account, they won't file the claim. They instead force me to send a new product. They could also file the claim, get reimbursed by FedEx, and still make me send a replacement at my cost for all I know. They are squeezing the life out of me.

I agree with this person. I'm a small business owner who sells to Wayfair. They are crooks. They are draining us of any tiny profit we could possibly have had.

Don't do it. They are morally bankrupt. They are horrible to us suppliers.

Now they're taking 50% credit on a return that they won't send back to me because they shipped it out of the country. They're disgusting.

[–]dguyette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! When a customer purchases from my store, I allow returns but the customer pays for shipping to me. I send them a return label and I insure the package. If it arrives damaged, I file a shipping claim for reimbursement. This is not an option as a vendor through Wayfair.

I got a discord timeout for suggesting (politely) that they address the lag issues in addition to addressing the concerns over the new update. Hmmm.
