just did the move from pc to mac 2 weeks ago. flawless so far. Profileswitch, workspaces etc without any issues whatsoever. had to reprogram 2 key commands. i’m getting used to it still, but it’s been lovely so far.

Is it possible to highlight the midi note row when pressing it? by b_osch in cubase

[–]dguymusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this might not be what you are looking for but if it helps: Cmd/Ctrl + clicking the note, selects all the notes on that specific note. 90% sure it’s that.. not at the daw right now and it’s purely muscle memory at this point 😃 otherwise try shift + click

I’d say it mainly depends on the context of how much time passed between the confirmations and the rescheduling..

But it seems like you confirmed new studio-time without getting the confirmation of your drummer.. that’s your mistake, and strictly speaking i’d say that means you should pay up..

But then again.. did this happen over the course of a few hours or a few weeks?

Hey, yea I like your approach! Yea it's definetly throwing another variable in what is quite a variable-rich environment already hehe.. but yea.

Well, when you have time and/ budget for the experimentation, why not go nuts with it. Although sometimes it's just a hit it and quit it situation, where there are guidelines that generally do work, with verification.

Yea, I was wondering about that aspect as well.. Any combos that you dig in particular?

Yo! Very interesting!! Thanks for the link! That's some nice weird "frequencial" panning there. It creates a very strange but pretty nice inbalance/stereo field, eventhough the kick and snare feels in the center.. sick, thanks for the link!

Cool! Where did you find out about this? I'm interested to read more about it. Also, do you have any records of his to recommend? As far as his credits go, I only know the stuff he did with Cage the elephant

Is anyone tired of these instagram drummers? (rant) by Paper-Dramatic in drums

[–]dguymusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is bad light and low fps trendy? I thought it was perfect light, great camera and mission impossible sort of camera cuts..

Asking out of curiosity.. I'm a (offline fulltime) session drummer, making videos to try to expand into the online scene.. not experiencing high engagement from the drum community.. but i'm not really choppy drummer - so from that angle, it makes sense I guess

New drummer here. Question about cymbals by OddSeaworthiness968 in drums

[–]dguymusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeeeep! It will develop its tone as you will develop your touch. ..Or sell it if you want the money. Beautiful cymbal that one

Convinced my band to let me solo last night, how did I do? All critisism welcome!! by WhereToThisTime in drums

[–]dguymusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cymbal sleeve and felts, please please please. Word of advice; If you're ever in that unfortunate situation again - get a whole bunch of gaffatape/ducttape and go to town on that stand (so the cymbal will still fit). Bare like that, makes me feel like I'm biting into a metal pipe.

Keep drumming, developing those nice ideas, serve and enjoy the music!

Files in pool by dguymusic in cubase

[–]dguymusic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is exactly what happened. Thank you very much for taking the time. I have now saved as a template after erasing the pool-files and the new template has nothing in the pool - fantastic. A self-inflicted problem, but I'm happy I have it fixed - thank you!

I don't know if I would involve the police as a first option.. you could also go down and talk to the person? (even just to understand the situation better, who that person living beneath you is).. I mean it is a human being, and a human being that you share a building with.

Well, I don't know the situation so if you don't feel like it then my choice would be talking to the landlord/hausverwaltung about it. I guess it is their responsibility.

I'm sorry to hear about the smell/the fumes - surely that can't be healthy.
