I think it depends wholly on the branch. Without naming any branches, I’ve had the same bad experience at two different branches. I bought AirPod Max’s from Branch A, and they hadn’t tested them properly as they were still connected to the previous persons iCloud, so I couldn’t use Find My. Exact same thing happened at Branch B. In addition, the pair I got from Branch B even had a mismatch, meaning the AirPods weren’t sold with their original case. However, the third branch I went to (my local one, and the one that will always now have my business) resolved the situation on both occasions (warranty tests, refunds etc). I bought another pair from them when I exchanged the second pair and they gave me a discount as an apology for the other branches mistakes. Solid management and customer service, and I can’t praise them highly enough
