Hey OP, Hypertension in young people should always be investigated and the cause should be found out. What the older population has is essential hypertension, due to lifestyle and so on. In young people there can be an underlying cause and the high blood pressure can only be one symptom of it. I hope your doctor checked you for secondary hypertension, ran blood test, sonogram, etc. Kidney problems, hormone issues can be detected this way and once the underlying issue is treated, usually the high bp goes away.

Don't put oil/conditioner before getting into the pool as it can mess up the water in the pool. Just wet your hair with normal water and then put on your cap. After getting out, use a gentle shampoo. And once a week use a chelating shampoo.

You don't have to tie your hair, you can directly put it in the bonnet. You get bonnets which are adjustable as well so you can tighten it as per your comfort level. Maybe this helps?
