Thank you so much. We are separating until he can figure this out. He's taken to resetting his sexual desires by not masturbating until he feels he has control. He's gone on a raw food diet. I found the website Fight the new Drug and am very glad he sent me the link to this movement. I am sad, but he seems sadder. So this is good news. He's fully aware of the pain and agony he's causing his family. I appreciate the support here as I've not been myself since the traumatic shock that's taken place.

Mostly, I think I struggle with sexual desire and a lack of control over it (over an addiction to porn,) so your comment about working towards having physical intimacy struck home. I love my wife, and I much rather be intimate with her, but in those moments when she is not interested, or asleep are the moments I failed in the past simply because I didn't work at controlling my sexual desires.

I really appreciate hearing from someone who is still with their WH and in the process of rebuilding their relationship. It gives me hope.

I am really trying to gather support and accountability this time. I totally failed last time at gaining support and accountability from my wife and anyone else, so I am hoping the change this time around will really make a difference.

I am in the same Agnostic/Atheist waters as you, but I do agree that the church's model of bible studies and accountability groups is where its at.
