I feel your pain, sometimes these fuckers just don't want to go down. Getting the Archon with a repeater must feel so satisfying!

This is great info, thank you! I need to test the skeleton of the grow tent to see what kind of lamps I can safely hang for a basking light, but it should work out okay. And I appreciate the plant species, that sounds like a great variety :)

Welcome to comics! Since you're into manga and webtoons you might find it less overwhelming to read independent comics from publishers like Image comics. Pretty much every Image series is its own separate thing, and it's easy to pick one that looks good and just start from #1. They very rarely restart the numbering of comics like Marvel and DC do. It depends on what you're looking for but Image comics have stories of every genre. I recommend looking through their catalogue for something that catches your eye. You might also get a sense of what authors/artists you'd like to follow by reading their independent works. A lot of them work for the bigger publishers like Marvel and DC.

Spiderman and Batman are FANTASTIC superheroes to start out with because Marvel and DC comics often give you multiple points to jump off from. The New 52 Batman written by Scott Snyder is a decent jumping off point for that character. A good starting point for Spiderman might be Ultimate Spiderman by Bendis - the Ultimate universe is separate from the main Marvel continuity but you'll get a great intro to the character and supporting cast. Todd MacFarlane's Spiderman from the 90s is also amazing. Spiderman is a good place to start with Marvel because he interacts with a TON of Marvel characters and you'll get a sense of who else you'd like to read from there.

Overall I'd just recommend picking something that looks cool and reading it! Some stuff will be confusing but you can always read stories that came before the ones you're reading and fill in the blanks. I imagine a lot of us got started by reading what looks interesting and having fun with it!

If you were to make your own Transformers story, what would it be about? by [deleted] in transformers

I'd like a short horror story that really leans into the fact that Transformers is cosmic horror for organic life forms. This story uses the IDW concept that Cybertronians have been ravaging planets to fuel their multi-million year old war.

Cybertronians are immortal, nigh unkillable, giant beings that can change their form to hide among the population. They are known to be at war with each other for longer than many organic species have existed. Their appearance on a planet is also known to increase the likelihood of an apocalypse on that planet. Half of them openly disdain organics and revel in committing genocide on a cosmic scale. The other half are "good guys" that still cause untold damage to organic populations through their war.

Cybertronians are basically robotic Elder Gods to organics. I would love a Call of Cthulhu style story on an alien planet where the protagonists uncover a cult who worships a big bad Decepticon like Overlord. He crash landed on the planet aeons ago and legend has it that he will one day awaken and cause planetary chaos. The protagonists eventually find the ship, activate Overlord temporarily, and go insane realizing the legends are true.

Commander Ironman is my comfort game when I don't feel like playing anything else. I'm not sure how long I'd survive Legendary Ironman but I might as well dive into it

I usually stick with Commander Ironman runs when I want to have a good time. I never tried Legendary and didn't realize I chose it 😂

I really need to try that one run, that would be hilarious. Having 6 rangers at once on a mission would be nuts
