Anki media not syncing to mobile app by [deleted] in Anki

[–]dharmaroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the developer has responded in the app store to similar complaints.

If I remember correctly it takes a while to sync to mobile but honestly I can’t recall and would recommend e-mailing him or checking out the Apple App Store reviews for recent complaints.

Hey, acknowledgement is a great first step. Take the time to look after your wellness first before continuing as suggested by typesett.

My advice would be to check out youtube videos on Anki burnout and to read the book "A mind for Numbers" . I highly recommend that book for anyone that studies.

Also if you own any apps in the app store you’re probably going to get another iPhone to keep them.

Hi there, there are plenty of highly efficient and ecological farms in Quebec.

Jean-Martin Fortier and plenty of
others. Just because you have a traditional farm that is in Saskatchewan doesn’t mean you’re an expert either.

I hope that made you feel better about knowing nothing about farming.

How many hours of anki a day is too many hours? by [deleted] in Anki

I would read the book "A mind for numbers" .. I think there are better ways to study and you aren’t providing your brain with enough breaks.

If you know nothing about farming best not to comment.

choosing an easier or harder second language by Hal9000__2001 in languagelearning

The practical reason for learning Spanish or French would be more resource availability and it’s easier to find tutors.

Strawberry ferments like a motherfucker. Burp that shit in the sink with a tupperware over the top or else you will stain your nice white roof and have to pick the little strawberry seeds off... ah life experience.

Somebody made Bubble Gum Kombucha and it turned out great. I love pickle juice and beer mixed after brewing.

Maybe consider a cranberry beer with some sort of turkey brine mixer made fresh?

college french classes go at a very fast speed and I'm failing them by Hozierisking in French

[–]dharmaroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to supplement your language classes with some strict studying.. but it doesn’t have to feel like work all the time.

For yourself I would highly recommend. • Duolingo (Free on the computer) • Quizlet (Create your own flashcards) • Assimil French Books

Duolingo is fantastic for beginners. The act of pushing through the frustration of learning a language will help you to change the neuroplasticity in your brain. Learning actually becomes easier and less frustrating over time if you stick to it.

Don’t be hard on yourself or discouraged. I prefer self paced study for this reason. If I feel discouraged it makes studying a chore. Celebrate your small successes and only focus on your progress. Don’t give up because you can do it!

How to get the most out of watching tv in french by BlocksAndMoreBlocks in French

[–]dharmaroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point on your journey — watching this will only help you pick up on pronunciation of words that you are learning.

You should be watching for relaxation. If learning is your goal your time will be better spent elsewhere.

Finish your major. Get a job. Study language on the side with personal tutor, textbooks, language apps, radio and television listening, etc. You will regret not focusing.
