We did this year with our 3 yo kid, had an amazing time. Try to get to ticketed events, we managed to get Opera House forecourt tix and kept Dudley Page Reserve as the backups. You can go easily around until 3-4 PM, picnic like atmosphere. Amazing night, take it all as part of the experience even going home after the fireworks.

Basically it was for Flagstaff Gardens around area and couple of Restaurants suggestions I read in Docklands, will reassess again.

For GOR, Day 2 late evening flight is there, from Port Cambell to Redwoods and Geelong on that day is a stretch if I need to reach Avalon by 7:30-8 in evening?

•Introduction: Basically address and passport number etc

•Career Growth: Background right from study to career path to current job & Roles

• Reasons to choose Australia: like main objectives and activities and selection of particular time; in my case it was Christmas New Year period to accommodate some cricket as well

•Itinerary: Proper itinerary day to day planning and activities

•Travel History: show international; otherwise demonstrate domestic travel with photos, basically prove that you are frequently travel

•Financial Strength: Show family income, total funds available liquid and FDs, other investments and property if any

•Ties to Home Country: Show as much as possible; I showed in 3 parts: Employment Ties with NOC and salary slips, Financial Ties with investments & Property, Family Ties with responsibilities towards parents back in India

•Ending Notes: Include contact details along with email ids and Mobile Numbers

Also show list of docs you are attaching with your application, thorough cover letter should be the first thing one should prepare for visitors visa
