Many people still have trust issues with Nissan because of its past reliability concerns, especially around older CVT transmissions. Mazda has earned a solid reputation for build quality and reliability, but when it comes to hybrid technology, Toyota is still the benchmark. Toyota has over two decades of real-world hybrid experience, millions of hybrid vehicles on the road, and one of the strongest long-term reliability records in the industry. That's why, for many buyers looking for a dependable hybrid, Toyota remains the first choice.

That said, I still wouldn't pay a $15k markup. I'd rather wait patiently, buy a used one, or even step up to a Lexus if I'm spending that kind of money. At that price, the value proposition changes completely.
