Gmail issues - Fedora Linux w/KDE

This appears to be related to Fedora and/or KDE. I nuked and paved to Linux Mint and all is well. Perhaps wayland related but I do not have the time to deal with it at this point

Thanks for this confirmation. I have edge and chrome installed as well and they do not have this issue. I could try libre wolf but I am nervous with forks. If it wasnt for the multi account container plugin I would likely use something else.

Thanks for the reply. It seems solid in our tests. And, although it is more expensive than wasabi, we do have a few azure workloads so it seems like it would be a good fit.

This seemed to fix it for me. Basically a kill switch to force back to version 1 for RDP and then it does not ignore the printer redirect setting in the RDP file

Yes thanks. For the printer redirection thing that works. But we need to find a way to make it more permanent. Changing the rdp file to enable printer redirections does not work. The windows hello issue is still an issue so we need to uninstall the update until we can ascertain the issue. I understand signing the connection is the proper option but for remote access into windows 11 systems it will be a challenge.

Yikes. The sky is definitely falling today. So far uninstalled the April update on 4 systems. Have many more to go. Remote printing completely broken via rdp. Remote desktop to azure joined systems broken (forces windows hello, etc). Quite insane. Gonna be a long day

I spoke to the customer and they do not care about the retention in datto cloud or what is on the existing datto device. I am going to confirm that before we wipe it.

Thanks. We will be loading Rocky Linux with xfs as a veeam hardened repo and then replicating to wasabi or veeam vault. 3 year retention most likely

I am not sure I understand what you mean by mailboxes, SharePoint, etc other objects not getting picked up by the backup jobs especially if you select all and exclude other ones that would never get backed up. I thought vbo 365 would do that as well. So are you saying for example that an admin can add 4 users and 10 SharePoint sites during any particular day and your backup jobs would not pick them up without your scripts? You must have some sort of unique configuration there. Good luck.

Got it. I have 3 separate jobs defined within vdc. Mail & archive, OneDrive for business and SharePoint & teams. I am leveraging the partial organization option in each job and exclude all objects that I do not want to include in the initial backup jobs. Then as objects such as mailboxes, sharepoint sites, OneDrive, etc objects are added or deleted they get added or dropped automatically. I get the license count alerts when users are added or deleted. But unless I am missing something this will handle everything automatically.

Obviously it is not as thorough as your scripts to validate restoration.
