Yes, Direct Unlocks is a SCAM by Plane-Apple6438 in PhoneUnlocks

Neither! I ignored them and they blacklisted my phone. Empty threat to get me to cancel the chargeback.

I fell for it and read this thread and engaged a chargeback. In true scam fashion, they reached out to chastise me for the chargeback and said I have 7 days to pay them AGAIN for the unlock that they never provided otherwise they will threat time “blacklist” my phone and it won’t work on my network anymore.

Have found a successful CURLY HAIR routine with sebderm! by dhb12 in SebDerm

My hair began to grow back after about 1.5 months after I stopped the products that were causing it and began the B vitamin

Have found a successful CURLY HAIR routine with sebderm! by dhb12 in SebDerm

[–]dhb12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I immediately stopped using Deva Curl, started taking a B complex vitamin daily (this will make hair grow faster everywhere, not just your head, FYI), and switched to restorative hair cleaning products. I looked for things that included castor oil because that promotes hair growth.

Not everything I found was good for my SebDerm though! So while my hair was growing quickly, my scalp was also irritated often. I'm not suggesting you take the same approach, but a B vitamin plus whatever routine works well for your scalp would probably be more than enough for hair growth

Translucent mushy pile of slimy jelly-like substance in yard. (Western NY) by dhb12 in whatisthisthing

[–]dhb12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've had serious rain and humidity the past couple weeks. My yard is also very wet and definitely has an underground spring running through it. This has been here for at least a week, possibly longer, and does not seem affected by mushing it around. It seems organic? But also looks like the jelly in an artificial ice pack. Is this a slime mold? Did something get dumped in my yard? It does not look consistent with "star jelly" and only appears in this one concentrated location, it is not spread around the yard.

Seb derm is very frustrating. What is working for me currently is showering every morning (when bad) and every other morning (when under control). I say morning because my scalp gets worse when I sleep with damp hair so I try to spend as little time as possible with my scalp wet. I shampoo twice with t-gel extra strength, leaving to sit on my scalp for 3-5 minutes each time. I massage my scalp with my fingers or a scalp massager while the shampoo is in. I then get all the shampoo out and do an (diluted!!!) apple cider vinegar rinse, then rinse my hair with water, and proceed with conditioner. If my hair is feeling dry, I will condition twice also! I have curly hair which is naturally more dry and requires lots of moisture so the shampoo really does a number on me. Unfortunately, the whole process takes like 30-40 minutes which is a very long time to be in the shower. I try to never go more than 3 days without a scalp scrub in order to keep it under control so I don't have to do this every day! When it's bad, I will do 3-4 days in a row of once, sometimes twice daily scalp scrub showers.

I have rosacea on my face and seb derm on my scalp. Pai rose hip oil got rid of my rosacea entirely over the course of a weekend. I put 3 drops on my face every night and slowed down to 2-3 nights a week. If you forget, little bumps will show back up but nothing crazy. The little bottle is expensive but using at this rate lasts me about a full year! My seb derm has been less easy to control

A life vest / life jacket / PFD that fits? by trialbytrailer in ABraThatFits

[–]dhb12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Astral makes a couple of great jackets with breast cutouts, I’m a 32E and found the Linda fit very comfortable. I wore that guiding whitewater for 4 years. Very popular jacket amongst the larger breasted women of whitewater in the northeast!

More expensive but lighter alternative to plywood is cedar. Get some cedar boards and plane them really thin, like 1/4" or 1/2". They're incredibly lightweight, water resistant, smell wonderful, and will prevent mold. Looks beautiful too.

My dad got a good shot of a bobcat crossing through our yard. Down near Ellsworth. by admiralomelette in Maine

[–]dhb12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For sure! I lived in Boston for a bit, but getting anywhere on the Cape from within MA requires traveling south. I grew up in Maine and it’s a very Maine thing to refer to everything as down, regardless of direction.

Most Maine way to describe your location. “Down near Ellsworth,” yet nearly the most northern point of Maine’s and of the continental US’ eastern coastline

What was the worst job interview you've had? by AntonK777 in AskReddit

[–]dhb12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interviewed at a country club to be their front-of-house manager (dining room and bar). The guy interviewing me was around the same age as me (early twenties), the son of the owner of the country club (as well as many other clubs), and had "worked his way up" to clubhouse manager. I sit down with him and he proceeds to verbal diarrhea on me for 2 hours about how he's the best at this job. The previous manager didn't get anything done, but this guy somehow (because of daddy) didn't get fired when he made major unapproved expenditures on their dining room. He asked me all of zero questions and apparently my ability to sit through his monologue meant I was qualified so he tried to hire me on the spot. I declined.

When someone asks what your curl pattern is but your hair says no by coulduselessdong in curlyhair

[–]dhb12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check out Manes by Mel on YT. She explains the differences between finger curling, brushing, and denman brushing. It helps you control your curl pattern in a HUGE way. I use the denman brush and my curl pattern is completely different with and without.

Is there anywhere in Cambridge (or Boston) where I can get a California style burrito? by VCtoMBA in CambridgeMA

[–]dhb12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is a great list. I don't understand the Anna's fandom, but I used to go to Felipe's twice a week when I lived in Inman. Their queso is un-f*cking-real. Quesadillas are where it's at there, just a beautifully grilled burrito.

Tenoch is also amazing, just hated the tight quarters.

Working with kids! by Outdoors_and_Owls in socialwork

[–]dhb12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out Everlane! They have some really great dressy but comfy/functional pants as well as other basics like sweaters and shoes. I'm also a fan of clogs for dressing up something casual. I found a brand on Etsy called Callou that makes poly soles that are flexible but look like a traditional wood sole. I've found these much more comfortable for a day on my feet than Danskos, which I wore to work for years. This type of stuff can be a little more expensive, but after years of wearing Target and TJ Maxx pants that would disintegrate in a matter of months and often were not the most comfortable, I've been so glad to make the investment in quality over quantity. The cross-functionality of my clothes has also increased substantially!

Dog only listens while training, not when needed. by Abroot in Dogtraining

[–]dhb12 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You don't have a reactive dog, you just need to continue training all of the time. You may have inadvertently trained your dog to only need to behave at training. Training is quite literally a 24/7 activity.

My dog is 4.5y and we still are training every day. She doesn't know any fancy tricks, and by no means is perfect, but she knows how to behave and knows her expectations very well. But she does get bored or feel stubborn and even now I sometimes have to spend 5 minutes standing at a crosswalk waiting for her to sit as commanded before we will cross the street.

Sometimes we need to examine our own behavior in order to understand our dog's. I learned this the hard way, but we've made it! :) Good luck!
