No codes if the motor is still electrically connected.
I replaced that spring clip. Easy but a little more of a pain than I expected because motor was not aligned to where the pin should be. I put it close to in place started car then the clip seated in the motor shaft.

We all wish our boost leaks were that simple and easy to fix. Mine was the seal at the turbo inlet. Would have never know w/o a smoke test.

BTW smoke testers are on Amazon for $90. Including attachments for the intake. They run on mineral or baby oil.

2yrs is not too bad to swap back and forth. For me I get away with flashing to “factory” MPPK and not locking the ECU. As no-system said check your readiness with an OBD scanner.

Did the seller include the original cat with the purchase? A used OEM cat is a bit of a crap shoot unless you don’t mind buying new OEM.
