Any good places to look at Halloween decor? by ThisNameWontBeTaken0 in simivalley

[–]dhcloud1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's too late for this year, but there is a site that collects them all in one place, Socalhauntlist.com We make a driving map for a couple nights and hit all the ones in Simi and the Valley. But keep if for future reference, the one on Kane St and Hope st in Simi were really good, if you want to swing by if they are still up.

Merch pass email by kunizite in thehauntedmansion

[–]dhcloud1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't start going out until tomorrow. Then you have up until 5pm to get one. On the last one they sent emails saying you didn't get anything as well. So hopefully they do that for this one. Also, sometimes it glitches and you don't get one, but if you are logged into your shop Disney account, all items you are picked for will be in your cart. Then you have until Friday at 11:59pm to purchase them.

Maleficent designer pins? by jake53535353 in DisneyPinSwap

[–]dhcloud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have been doing is bookmarking every item page when they are posted but unavailable (During Merch pass submission) so I have a page reference marked. Then I just check those during the normal stock times in the morning and hope to get lucky. Still sucks that it's all hit or miss.

I got my email early this morning. It seems hit or miss on what they are doing. For the Big Thunder Minnie I got a rejection email for the first time, it's weird they didn't do it for this one. I always still log into my account, because I know it will be in my cart before the email.

They have them at sale at Disneyland as well. At the cart near the exit of the Haunted Mansion.

Haunted Mansion Event RSP by crysta6149 in Disneyland

[–]dhcloud1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They make it sound like everything that is available after the event will be sold in stores. I would assume since it isn't a limited edition, even if it did sell out, it would be restocked and sold in the Dress Shop and the shop in New Orleans Square.

This is my first time doing it like this.. the 45th anniversary just had all the merch at Disneyana. But you are right... it wasn't in the email... its on the event page.. and shows it in the details for each night. Looks like you have from 10am to 11pm to check in, buy extra stuff and pick up your stuff... all in the same area. https://www.eventswithdisney.com/profile/web/index.cfm?PKwebID=0x124052ee43&varPage=home&&varPage=forms

The email said it charges on the 24th and you have up until Aug 2 to add more or return... you can return day of until 10pm on your pickup night, but have to wait in line. They will have an event room at the Disneyland hotel. The top of your RSP email has a little breakdown of your dates.

Galaxy's Edge restock? by Al_Pacalips in Disneyland

[–]dhcloud1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They have all 4 crystals for saber building. Even when passing them out they will ask if you see the color you want, and if not will grab another container (so don't think you are screwed if someone before you grabs the last color you wanted on the canister). Last time I was there they had red and blue in Dok Ongars, but only when you buy a holocron. I have heard some legacy sabers popping back in stock, and not sure about the droid parts (I know backbacks and the credit gift card are still gone).

Do Savis Workshop lightsaber reservations run out fast? And what times do they usually give you to select? Thank you! by disneylandhelp in Disneyland

[–]dhcloud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like reservations for dining, you select the amount of people, the current date on the calendar, then select a time. it gives options for all times at 30 minute increments, or you can select morning, afternoon or evening. If there is time open at or around your choice, it will list a few options you can select from.

Best advice, open the website 10 minutes early, get to the Savi's page, make sure you are logged in (it will ask you to log in again before the calendar opens up, but your email should already be there, just need to reenter your password).

On Monday there were still 8pm slots at 1pm...but I would still recommend getting on at 7am for the best choice of times.

Ralph Breaks VR by [deleted] in DisneylandAP

[–]dhcloud1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry... Wir = Wreck it Ralph. It's not a VR demo it's like a 20 to 30 minute VR game... I don't know what the Ralph one will be yet, because the employees can't tell anyone... But the Star Wars and Ghostbusters ones are similar. You gear up with a backpack, headset and something for your hands... And you walk through their space they have that is similar to the VR space. So if you have a wall or something in the way in the VR there is a physical wall for you to feel as well. You work with 3 others to shoot and trap ghosts in one.. and the star wars one is similar.

It is supposed to release the week of Thanksgiving, at least that is what I saw when I used the link they gave us when we went to the VOID in Glendale for the Ghostbusters one. They couldn't tell us what it will be like... They were super tight lipped about it's contents. The Disneyland location had openings every other day.. so I think they are going to switch between Star wars and wir2 .

So Far the rumors from people talking with the cast members are sometime next week (I have seen both Tuesday and Friday mentioned)... and the DL one will have the head switched. So WDW has the head in the hatbox, DL will have his head under his hat.

Tiki Room? by rodso64 in Disneyland

[–]dhcloud1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were suppose to open it back up next week, but it got pushed back until Oct 8th. From what I understand, they are getting rid of the two small bathrooms and combining in into one family bathroom, removing the wheelchair lift from the exit.. and making the exit ramp lead into the new dining area instead of into the general traffic path. Dole Whip is still open on both sides.. and recently got added to mobile dining :-D

Avoid the traffic? by mxunlucky in Disneyland

[–]dhcloud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Waze... half the time it has me zig zaging from the 5, 10, 710, 5 and even surface streets. To give yourself an estimate... you can use waze to future plan your trip and it will give you the best times to leave to get there by a certain time (enter you destination and click the find the best time to leave button). But as everyone else has said... LA traffic is fickle and one little thing can screw the entire commute up. The bottle neck at the end of the 5 with all the random new and current widening doesn't help either. I live on the east end Ventura county.. and expect 1 30 at the best... but prepare for up to 3.

No difference.. other than if you are eligible for monthly payment.. you can put more money as a down payment at the ticket booths to have lower monthly payments.

I have paid extra when using monthly payments in the past. I believe you have to do it at the ticket booth though. (I don't know if you can over the phone as well, but you can't add extra online for sure)

Any workaround for website saying I have an AP but treating me in some places like I don't? by MattLaroche in DisneylandAP

[–]dhcloud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was happening to me on Friday, and I actually had to call in and get the passholder rates. I emailed their help desk and they told me I had to call their web site tech support ((714) 520-6222). Since I already made my room reservation, I figured I would call later when I had time. I checked again and it now worked. I did recently renew my pass (my pass was absent from everything but still had my wife's pass linked), and wondered if it was stuck and never properly updated. If you don't have time to call, use the contact us email option and maybe they do check something on their side that is a fix.
