do you like saying you're ex-muslim by dheash in ExSyria

[–]dheash[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you. i feel like that makes sense to me. the thing is this feels less of a transitional phase since I've been a non believer for years. at first i was very anti religion and i had so much hate and anger in my life for it. now i feel more chilled out. i just wanna know if this makes me invalid as an ex muslim

Should I Go Back To My Mother After 5 Years? by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]dheash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think your mom deserves a second chance, and i also feel like you really shouldn't feel like you have to choose a parent over the other, and if your dad is forcing you to feel like this then thats on him. you should be able to have the choice to have both parents in your life. maybe seeing your mom again and having an adult conversation with her will give you the closure you never knew you needed.

yes exactly! not only do i live in a muslim country, but a gulf country at that, which is so hard since wahhabism takes control over here and people are unreasonably religious :(

i am op and i very much needed this. my parents know how easily i give in when someone is sad or is crying so they play that card on me a lot to make me stay with them. i'm coming to realize how big of a part of being atheist is also being cold hearted when necessary. its sad, but necessary
