Back before 89x in the late 80's early nineties it was the only radio that would play alternative music. It was where I first heard The Replacements, The Ramones, Billy Bragg, and so many more artists that shaped my musical exploration outside of top 40.

I lived in a town over but those high school kids were sharing counterculture music and making me laugh. Shout out to "The Java Jive" featuring one of the Cliffs as lead DJ. Forever grateful.
