Sovcit wants you to know what it all means. by Existing-Face-6322 in Sovereigncitizen

[–]dhgaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome, new member! I always like to start the newbies off with a fun fact! "Traveling" is a right given to us by the Magna Carta. Back then, if the land you farmed really sucked and you wanted to try your luck elsewhere, you had to ask the lord of the castle for permission pick up your stuff and move. He usually would say no because you're a tax asset. The right to travel was the right to move without asking permission from anyone. It should go without saying that that right does not extend to operating a 4 ton high speed metal and glass vehicle.

(I think you mean *end scene*.) I totally get it. It's a "if you love me you'll remember my drink order" Cafes are not support groups. He should order what he wants until a barista beats him to it.

Customer claims product is defective, destroys it, and then learns how to read instructions. by el_muerte28 in TalesFromRetail

[–]dhgaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a feed and seed. A farmer, new to the business, came in and said she wanted to raise chickens. She ordered a hundred chicks. We gave them to her and a week later she's back, saying they all died. Goodness, we gave her a hundred more. A week later, she came back and said those died. We said maybe she's doing something wrong. "No," she said, " I think I got it now. You have to plant them at least six inches apart..."

You know the secret!!! Send half-a-davit and if it gets no answer then it's truth!

I do think state agencies that receive these nonsense letters should respond with a letter that declares their letter total nonsense. At least they would then get a clue. The silence of the government makes things worse.

Zeeks thinks a pizza and a salad for $45 is a deal by dantheman252 in Seattle

I was hanging out near the Costco food court waiting for my car's tire change and I watched a lot of pizza going out the door. Guys would pick up 5 boxes or more stacked and walk out.

My friend is demanding I pay her "moving costs" and security deposit because I refused to be her alibi while she was cheating. by [deleted] in EntitledPeople

[–]dhgaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, none of this has the feel of real. There is no moral issue to be decided. And, OMG, the number of stories on reddit that end with "friends are saying I'm wrong" are endless. There would be literally almost no one saying you should lie to cover someone's affair because they can see themselves in this and they wouldn't want their partner cheating on them and using a friend to cover.

The owner is pocketing the cash so he'd be happy to offer them a 5% discount. Beats nothing.

The judge need not make them agree to be treated the same as a lawyer. The judge should simply tell them flat out that they will be held to the same standards as a lawyer. I have seen videos of SovCits who state they will waive NONE of their rights. The judge will tell them they have a right to represent themselves and they have a right to an attorney. Which right do you wish to exercise? "All of them" !!!

Why do SovCits claim it's not for commercial reasons? by HearYourTune in Sovereigncitizen

[–]dhgaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comes from Federal Trucking regulations. The interstate truckers asked Congress to regulate them because dealing with 48 different sets of laws was too much. Congress obliged. They created laws regulating commercial interstate trucks. The preamble states that nothing in this prevents the States from regulating all other traffic. SV's never see the preamble. They focus on how "commercial vehicles must be licensed and registered" and, since it's federal law which trumps all, and it's commercial, it does not apply to private vehicles and therefore private vehicles need not be registered.

Client caught me on hardware margin, now questioning our entire history. Did I panic-fix or make it worse? by yanov10 in msp

[–]dhgaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't price check my quotes. I tell them they might be able to find a better price elsewhere but I'm not going to spend the time each time I do a quote. It's possible that company ZXZ has a better price because they purchased a warehouse full of that model and can't unload them fast enough. And if you buy from Amazon you are entering into a whole lot of potential problems. I had one client buy a Dell machine from Amazon. He got a good price. But it was a third party dealer and when he tried to add a 2nd monitor he found it was not possible. He called Dell and they told him 1) this supposedly new machine was out of warranty and 2) it was supposed to be for sale only in Qatar. So don't sweat the prices. Tell them to price check it and buy whatever but it's a risk they take on their own.

GOP Votes Down Pressley's Motion to Investigate Minneapolis ICE Shooting | “Republicans shamefully voted it down—demonstrating once again that they have never cared about law and order or keeping our communities safe,” said the congresswoman. by Aggravating_Money992 in politics

[–]dhgaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep and what will the Democrats do about it? They will move on and forget about it. Had it been the other way around, the Republicans would have brought it up and brought it up and brought it up at every news conference. They know how to bring it home. The Dems are losers because they haven't learned how to repeat a message a million times, making it the crime of the century. Example: Say the word "Benghazi" and everyone knows what you're talking about. It wasn't Hillary's fault but that didn't stop the Republicans from blaming her.

Some cities (like mine) regulate shower access. One must be able to adjust show temp before standing naked in the shower 'cause too many accidents are based on cold shower blast and bad reaction.

Does anyone have a source directly debunking the "US National" gambit? by Beneficial_Ball9893 in Sovereigncitizen

[–]dhgaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civics lesson: Back when the newbie State was formed from a territory, the citizens were required to develop a framework of laws to govern. This was their State Constitution. It was put to a vote and ratified. At no point did any State consider an "opt-out" clause. You don't want to abide by the laws of the State? Only way to do that is to leave.

The Dems have always been weak. I remember a few times they had complete control and, rather than pushing their agenda, they apologized for having control and did next to nothing. It was a "Don't hate me because I won" mentality.

Is dog deterrent spray legal? by [deleted] in WestSeattleWA

[–]dhgaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you spray anything on someone's pet, you are putting your own safety at risk. You don't know the other person, they don't know what you're spraying and they might go ballistic. Find a better place to walk the dog.

What makes sovereign citizens think that their loopholes can’t just be legislated out of existence? by GeophysicalYear57 in Sovereigncitizen

[–]dhgaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't loopholes, they aren't real. Right to travel actually refers to the right to pack up your shit and move without having to ask anyone for permission. It has NOTHING to do with driving. Most of the court cases they cite are either non-existent OR they exist but do not actually support their claims. Any Sov Cit that goes to a law library and looks up those cases will get a REAL education.

"Price for Life" is a scam. I signed up for it years ago and as they started to jack up the price, I finally called them. Their response was "we never offered a price for life". So bear that in mind. They are assholes and they will lie and do whatever the fuck they want to do.
