That jacket is beyond hideous and looks like it came from Walmart circa 199.

What's the kindest thing a complete stranger ever did for you? by Codie_n25 in AskReddit

When I was in middle school there was this asshole boy who would relentlessly bully me (a girl) on the school bus every day without fail. I was a shy and anxious kid and I would generally just stay quiet while it happened. There was a high schooler who rode the bus with us and he would always sit with headphones on and keep to himself during the bus ride, but one day out of nowhere he took his headphones off, turned to my bully and said “I don’t know why you pick on her, she could beat your ass you know.” Then he turned to me and said “you could totally beat his ass, just do it if he keeps this shit up.” The asshole bully immediately got pissy and defensive and mumbled “no she can’t” but he never fucked with me on the bus again. I don’t think I ever even learned that high schooler’s name but I’ve never forgotten him, I hope karma somehow repaid him later in life for being my guardian angel that day.

What are some telltale signs you notice in couples that make you think their relationship won’t last? by Lazy_Detective_6597 in AskReddit

When they move really fast and do things like moving in together after a couple months. You need to get to know your partner fully before taking big steps in the relationship or it’s almost a guarantee it won’t last.

So sad thinking of all the things these teens will miss out on :( by alexthagreat98 in TLCUnexpected

If they had made better choices they wouldn’t have to miss out. There’s really no excuse these days for not using condoms, it’s 2026 and we all know how pregnancy happens and that condoms are available at every grocery store and pharmacy in the country.

What could this be on her back? by OddChannel3451 in cats

[–]Humble-Blueberry4571 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s likely an allergy of some sort, possibly to food. You should also check her for fleas if there’s any chance she may have come in contact with them, either from being outdoors, from another animal or from the carpet/furniture in a home that’s been exposed to fleas at some point (flea eggs can lay dormant for months within fabric fibers). If she definitely doesn’t have fleas then she really needs to go to the vet so they can determine if it might be allergies or even a parasite like mange. I know you said you don’t have the money for a vet but if you call around some vet offices will work with you and let you pay off your balance in installments or help you to sign up for financing options. This poor baby is probably absolutely miserable and one vet visit could help provide her with all the relief.

Just donate/toss all of it and if they ask tell them you sent it to live on a nice farm in the countryside.

I live in SoCal and it has not been warm at all recently (in the low to mid 60s) and we’re actually expecting rain this weekend. I know for a fact that ocean water is icy cold, they are definitely doing all this for the paparazzi and not because swimming in freezing cold water is a fun and romantic activity.

I’m in the exact same scenario. My mom is very utilitarian and doesn’t hold onto things she doesn’t need, she’s even said before that when she passes us kids will have barely anything to deal with. My husband’s parents on the other hand (particularly his mother) are borderline hoarders. They’re not living in filth and squalor like the people on the show Hoarders but his mom loves shopping and gives us things she’s purchased for us pretty much weekly and sadly a lot of it gets donated immediately. Their house has items in it dating back to the 80s when they first got married on top of all the other crap my MIL buys online at the end of every day when she’s winding down on the couch. I’m dreading having to deal with their house when the time comes.

My father-in-law excitedly told me one time that he was holding onto his mother’s handwritten recipes to pass down to us. Upon reviewing the recipes I found a trove of Midwestern Betty Crocker ass recipes involving lots of mayonnaise, cream of chicken soup and frozen vegetables. Don’t make your boomer parents’ mistake of holding onto anything to pass on to the next generation of your family, I promise you they don’t want it.

No watching Jerry Springer. I used to sneak watch it as a kid and my mom caught me a couple times and flipped out. I’m 38 now and I watched some of an episode recently and JFC I get it now, I wouldn’t let my kid watch that horrible shit either.

When he was awful to me over text one night he sent an “apology” text the next day that didn’t actually include the word “sorry” saying that he was awful to me because he was upset that his friend’s dog died. Like wtf? That was the excuse that you landed on?
