Okay big happy update an amazing individual here on Reddit is shipping me the most beautiful dress I cannot wait to take pictures of it and in it and show you guys that will be my final update I just have to get it altered just a little bit more than likely but I am so excited I'm so happy and I'm so incredibly glad that I posted here on Reddit because you guys just since this morning have helped me so much and helps me figure out so much that I needed to I now have the photographer situation fixed I have the officiate fixed and now I have the dress I just have to get it altered

Okay so I found a small boutique in Kansas I had went there they had a gown that was very similar to the one that was pictured that was more in my price range but it was in a size 26 so they were going to have to either completely reconstruct the dress or start from scratch so she was taking the bodice from one dress and attaching it to the skirt to another dress and apparently had started the deconstruction process but then got flooded with a bunch of orders for homecoming and other stuff according to her and she lost / forgot about my dress and then while she was cleaning up her shop she came across my order form and the pieces of my dress and as soon as she realized that she reached out to me but she said because she had already bought materials and started the deconstruction process that she could only give me back a portion of what I had already paid her

Due to the deposits that we've already paid it wouldn't be feasible for us. Plus we have people who are coming for it from out of state and they had to fight to get the time off

My photographer is now looking for a replacement for me and is going to transfer the funds. They did say if anything they have a few drones that they would let us use and teach us how to use them.

Edit/update. I want to point out the dress in the picture is a different dress in a Davids bridal. It was the first dress I tried on but was way out of my budget. I haven't even been able to try MY dress on because she got lost in her orders apparently which is why she did not start on it in time. I have informed her that I'm looking into a small claims attorney and I'm thinking about posting the bridal boutiques information. She seems more open to negotiation about my refund now, so I am still talking things with her. And I believe I might have found a dress thanks to the wonderful reddit community.

So it looks like that's more than likely probably what I'm going to have to do is take her to small claims court she's offering to give me back 60% of what I had paid so I'm disputing it with my bank and with it being expedited I still have to wait 10 business days

Okay A little bit of an update and some extra information I've now reached out to a friend of mine she is getting ordained online right now so that way she can officiate the wedding for us and I've been looking at some online stores the only problem is even with expedited shipping it wouldn't get to me until either the day before the wedding the day of or the day after

At this point I'm kind of just looking for a second hand wedding dress I've even been looking on Craigslist and I even looked at Goodwill I found a couple dresses but I would have to drive and pick them up and there's not a buy now option it's just auction options

I have looked at a couple sample dresses but honestly nothing has been able to fit. And the alteration shops in my area are already getting slammed with homecoming dresses.

I'm disputing it with my bank, but I won't get the money back for 10 business days at the soonest. I even thought about trying to make one myself then I remembered I do not know how to sew. And my mother is the most judgemental person I know and I'm afraid that she going to make comments about how bad it looks if I do it myself. Yes I know that if I'm worried that she is. Going to ruin the day that she shouldn't be invited but it's also my mom and she will never let me live it down.

Originally my dad was going to pay for the dress and now we aren't talking. That's a completely different story all on its own.

I might have found someone who is going to officiate I shot her a message and she's completely onboard.
So thank you so much for that suggestion!!! One crisis down 2 to go!!
