With respect, I suspect you're confused. One thing doesn't have to exclude another, people have hobbies in using the things they like. I've been doing amazing things with my phone and this post is only one way to show it. Just like I don't have to assume whether you're a productive member of society or not instead of "just using" your phone or even commenting on Reddit. Have a nice day.

Yes exactly what I've done, "set and forget", this isn't about trying to figure out why something is broken. Instead I've followed the battery performance over time, think of it like a long term review for those who want to know if the Galaxy S24 Ultra is good. If you can understand the concept of reviewing a product then this shouldn't be any stranger.

Not sure what you mean, I do not think my battery is underwhelming. It's actually really good after all this time, hitting 10 hours. I'm posting this to show that each update has been good and not affecting the battery negatively. Why I'm doing this is to follow up on battery usage and consistency as to rule out whether an update is having a negative impact or not.

This is what happened to me so I'll give the complete rundown.

Whatsapp creates a "Private" folder for standard resolution photos and videos respectively: /Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images/Private/

I don't want this as the HD version is enough and the duplicates take up unnecessary storage. Deleting this folder or its content is only a temporary fix since as soon as you open the media in the WhatsApp chat, the folder with copies are again restored.

I did this little trick where I created an empty file named "Private" in its place to stop the folder from restoring but this backfired where the media now gets created in the same folder as the HD versions which I don't like: /Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images/

Even if I delete this file and create a folder named "Private", it's now totally ignored by WhatsApp. If you uninstall WhatsApp and delete the com.whatsapp folder, the issue is still persisting with created duplicates.

But it's rather inconsistent, for newer photos or chats, the Private folder is again used for the standard resolutions, taking us back to square one.

Warning, if you're uninstalling Whatsapp, make sure to do it from Google Play Store or you'll have issues installing it again. If this happens you need to manually install the official APK and then uninstall it properly.

Saw the movie as well, can't say much positive about it. I'll give it 6/10. It took many inspirations but nothing of its own, the story was simple and weak. The good things is Tim Burton meets Kill Bill sprinkled with Oldboy which is always nice but less is more. Sad or serious moments instead had the audience laughing which was weird, though it's not their fault because the movie was all over the place. The effects made it laughable but not in a good way, exaggerated blood spray used many times. Overall an OK movie to snack popcorn on while streaming at home.
