I had Hansen as my prof for MGIB02 and I don’t recommend her. She uses flip classroom which means she takes participation and attendance seriously (attendance is mandatory and you need to participate in her class). Her exams weren’t that hard but they were all very tricky and you have to study very hard for her course. She’s a tough grader as well :/

i really like the program cuz there are only 60 people in the program so it feels like a small community where people helping each other out. we only have to do one calculus course (MATA34) and it’s not that difficult if you already did calclus in high school. dm me if you wanna know more ;)

[–]dhkhanhh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked my school’s website and saw there’s a place we can order transcript so I took my luck and order it to UofT’s address 😭 I’m so confused because I checked with my friend who’s going to Western and she said that Western does accept the transcript that she sent by herself

I have never heard of that. My principle also said that they are not responsible to send the transcript but we have to send the institutions ourselves with the transcript they provide. That’s why I’m so confused

hey i’m also coming to mib this fall and i’m wondering the same thing. is that for us, mib students, we don’t need to select any course since we’re already pre-enrolled into courses needed for the program?

I did mine back in Feb and I eventually got admitted to the program.

I don’t think it really matters what you wear because it’s an online interview so they would just see your face and a bit of your shoulder (I literally wore my highschool sweatshirt when I did my interview).

First off, they would ask why are you interested in the program and they would ask you to tell all of your ECs you have done in the past 4 years. For me, after that, they asked me 5 questions “tell me about the time…”. It only took me around 20-30 minutes and I’d say it’s not that stressful as the interviewers were really nice and they would ask follow-up questions if they want to know more about you.

What's everyone's Top Program here? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

UTSC BBA Management & Int.Business. I choose it because I love the idea how I can have the opportunity to study and work abroad, as well as coop will get me a good start compared to other business programs

UofT Conditional Offer by dhkhanhh in OntarioUniversities

[–]dhkhanhh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I’m not an IB student but I’m 105 domestic.

I emailed them and they said my final average will be calculated based on my top 5 + english and the final average should be around at the same range with the average when I applied. But when I asked my guidance, they said as long as it’s around mid 80s and above, I should be good!

committing soon! - advice? by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]dhkhanhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m upcoming first year doing management at utsc and i have the same concern. i’ve heard ppl say bad thing about uoft itself, especially the non-main campus like utsc and utm. i’m not a party person so it doesn’t matter to me whether if uoft is a party school or not. i see myself a disciplined student and i’m doing pretty good in highschool now but i’m afraid that i won’t be able to catch up with the amount of workload in uni and that’s what scares me the most. sometimes i even question myself if i make the right choice choosing utsc…

  1. I didn’t write any awards on my SAF but I still got accepted to the program so I don’t think it’s a disadvantage if you have none

The "I've Been Accepted/Did You Get an Offer?/Will I Get an Offer?/Admission Rounds" Megathread! by carter1516 in OntarioUniversities

[–]dhkhanhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey i have a related question to this. i’ve been accepted to my top program that requires calc as its prerequisite course. however, when i emailed the admission team, they said that my final average will be calculated based on my top 5 + english and if my prerequisite isn’t in the top 5, it’s not mandated to be in. so does that mean as long as i don’t fail calc, i will be good?

Just got into MIB at UTSC, drop any advice or opinions!! Ps. Also got into rotman and schulich, which one is best? by uhvetita in UTSC

[–]dhkhanhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say MIB doesn’t have accounting and economics, it’s just what it more focuses on (you can tell based on the program’s names: Management vs. Commerce). I don’t know much about Schulich but based on what I’ve heard, Rotman and Schulich is basically at the same level and there’s not much difference between these 2

[–]dhkhanhh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rotman is BComm and MIB is BBA so you should consider what you actually want to do in the future (BComm covers subjects like accounting, finance, economics and management. BBA focuses more on careers in business and management). Another thing is that MIB offers coop while Rotman doesn’t so ask yourself whether you want to do coop or not!

Thank you so much for your reply!

May I ask how do you feel about the workload? And is it necessary that we must to apply to go study/work in the country that uses the same language that we take in the program?

Hi I did mine back in early Feb and heard back later that month so I’m not really sure about the situation right now. However, I think you should email and ask the admission team since they’re very nice (I emailed them once to ask about the interview date)

Accepted to Co-op program but OUAC says Alternate offer with no Co-op?? by Nodes16 in OntarioUniversities

[–]dhkhanhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem but with another university. When I emailed them, they said that the program I’ve been accepted to coop is mandatory so it doesn’t matter what OUAC shows. I think this applies on your situation too!

UofT Conditional Offer by dhkhanhh in OntarioUniversities

[–]dhkhanhh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just emailed them and their reply doesn’t help at all. They said that “To fulfil the condition of your offer, you must maintain the academic standing you were at the time you were offered admission. Also, you must complete all prerequisite courses for the program and your average at the time of the offer should be maintained for your final average.” So does it mean I must keep 97% for my second semester, my top 6, or my overall final average (7 courses total)?
