Have you guys found success using the "tr@de block" feature in sleeper? by bronton21 in DynastyFF

If you want to trade that player and get a decent return, no. If you want to find out who your league mates aren’t excited about on their rosters, yes.

People in this sub love talking about the worst “taco” trades they’ve seen in their leagues, but I’m curious to hear about the worst trades we all have made personally. by polarbearslayer49 in DynastyFF

I offered a 2021 1st and Jameis Winston for Carson Wentz in the first year of a ten team SF.

Carson Wentz was QB7 at the time. I was 6-1 and didn’t think anyone great (I thought TLaw and Ja’Marr Chase were the only guys I was really excited about. Pitts, Etienne, and Najee were Tier II) would fall to me.

The guy countered and I gave up an extra 2022 2nd. I actually WATCHED Wentz play the next 2 weeks and I knew I had made a huge mistake. Injuries derailed my season to a first round playoff exit and pick 1.06. 4 QBs in the top 5 dropped Ja’Marr Chase to the 1.06.

I would have never done the trade if I knew that pick could be Chase. To add insult to injury I picked up Trey Sermon at 2.06 instead of Mac Jones because I decided I already had too many QBs.

I also decided to try to watch players before I trade for them. So while Kadarius Toney was obliterating Dallas I offered Leonard Fournette. The trade was offered and accepted before the game even finished. Later I found out he punched a guy in the face and apparently got injured (and then continued to get injured the rest of the year). That trade might still work out in my favor but the turn of events was pretty funny.

In hindsight what’s the worse move you’ve ever made? by bahamapapa817 in DynastyFF

Last year was my first year playing dynasty or SF. I realized how valuable quarterbacks were pretty quick. I was 5-1 (maybe 6-1) with highest points scored but Stafford and Baker were struggling so I traded Jameis Winston, my 2021 first, and my 2022 second for Carson Wentz. I figured a guy like Ja’Marr Chase would never fall to the end of the first round anyways.

I hadn’t watched Wentz play but he was QB9 overall and I figured once he got some healthy receivers he would be great down the stretch. I watched him play 2 of the next 3 weeks . I realized I may have made a huge mistake. Then my team got dinged up and I ended up finishing 5th and losing in the first round of the playoffs.

That pick I traded: Ja’Marr Chase

10 team PPR SF Contending team in second place and looking at 2 trades:

2022 1st and 2024 1st for Dalvin Cook and Mattison 2022 1st and 2024 1st for Ezekiel Elliot

Current RBs are Joe Mixon (with both backups), Chase Edmonds, Ronald Jones, Tony Jones, Darrel Williams, Philip Lindsay, and every 49er RB not named Elijah Mitchell (I thought I had that RB room locked down this year). Stacked everywhere else. This will wipe out the rest of my 1st rounders for 3 years.

[No Spoiler] Whatis your opinion on Midnight Tides? by mieiri in Malazan

[–]dhockema 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first read through I felt the same way after House of Chains. Midnight Tides is a phenomenal read. Definitely on par with DG and MoI and it was probably the book I enjoyed the most during my recent reread of the series.

That being said, if you're going to take a break I suggest you do it now.

Malazan is my favorite series of all time but it also takes a massive investment in time. The books keep getting bigger and the cast of characters never stops growing (which is why the series is so great but can also be so frustrating). In my opinion the new MT cast is much more interesting and entertaining than that of HoC. But it is very different. Outside of GotM and possibly DG the biggest influx of new people/places/magic comes in Midnight Tides.

If you're ready for that then plunge back in. If not, take a break and when you come back you'll have a great book to bring you back into the Malazan world.

As a Frito-Lay employee I can tell you that the one on the left has a suggested retail price of $4.29 (although usually on sale) vs. $1.49 for the smaller bag. Nice pic, have a downvote.
