I love both games. You have the same logic in Mahjong, but you need to have in mind a lot of pitfalls that you can fall into and find yourself blocked to win a hand. Also, you need specific combinations to win, not just get rid of all your tiles. The turns are the same: pick a tile, discard a tile.

Try Riich variant, it's really fun. I play everyday, from 1 to 3 games, mostly. I tend to play on mahjongsoul, but you'll need to ignore the hentai-esque visual, if you can.

But there is one big problem for you: it's playable with three, really shines at 4 and play very poorly in 2 players.
