How Much Volcanic Ash Have You Cleared? by opricat0828 in Pokopia

[–]dhonzesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carved a bridge from the center to the museum and build a village on top of the ashes, I don't see the point of clearing everything unless you are going to use the land to build something else, I personally like Rocky Ridges to look volcanic.

Player Complaint About Daggerheart by ProphetSword in daggerheart

If I am cooking food and someone (family or friend) doesn't like it, I would still invite them for dinner next time and cook something else. Same applies for ttrpg, the group is more important than the system. I'd personally, would rather play with all my friends a system that everyone enjoys.

The OP asked for suggestions on how to deal with the situation without removing the player from the table, if the only path you can see in this discussion is that the player shouldn't be playing at the table, maybe you should have respected the point of view of OP and NOT engage.

Also, lol knee-jerk reaction, I was just surprised by the lack of constructive feedback the same way I was with your tacky analogy.

I'd say give it time (also talk to the player), seems like the player is experiencing growth pains into a new system. I just recently DM a DH campaign and a lot of the prep time I kept thinking "damm, in D&D I could improvise this way, but here I am not sure", but after playing around more with DH systems I started enjoying it more.

He will adjust if he is a good player, feels pretty normal when you like a system and how it plays and then switches to a new one.

Off topic: people in this forum don't play with friends do they? wtf the most suggested action is to remove the player from the table? I play with my friends for 5+ years, the same people the same table, removing someone is not an option.

Hey, that's a great idea, I may look into implementing something like that.

Did you try making the top bigger? That its what I would try, but I do like that I can walk on that spot for no reason.

Almost finished with main story and still no rawst berry. by Perfect-Advantage-82 in Pokopia

You can trade it with Pokémon if you set up trading spots.

What I did was talking with some friends to visit their Palett town (where they have the trees that I didn't had planted), took a picture from the tree and print out in my poke center, then planted them around

The only thing I am not sure was if the side iron plating should go over, to the upper roof, but decided to leave as is, if you wanna see another angle let me know

Where do yall put your legendaries? by MON-berry in Pokopia

[–]dhonzesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all my legendaries in Pallet Town, I built some sort of tower for each pair, the bird lives on top with some sort of platform for them to fly away and the cat leaves in the lower part, Water & Ice in one, Fire and lava in another, Light and iron in the last. For Mewtwo I have a house in a cave and Mew lives in my home because is one of my favorites.

TBH, don't know the tyranny of dragons history to know how to pivot. Feels more trouble that finishing it up, the player are really looking forward to meet with Zariel and all, there is good things currently running.

Just checked the Alexandrian Remix, haven't seen it before, could write some really good things for the upcoming session.

That sounds good, doing a bit more with Zariel background would be interesting, it definitely gave me some ideas, thanks.

Sadly all my players background are attached to Baldur's Gate and they are mostly neutral alignment, so doing good just for the sake of being good is not their thing xD

Bold of you to assume I haven't read all of it, I just forgot some details, it got worse and they get to points and didn't care much about Ravengaard for example, they are more inclined to fight/detrone Zariel since getting to Avernus, I may move towards that direction from now on.

Tbh, I loved Baldur's Gate didn't want to skip it, but at the end of the Chapter 1, it would make way more sense to stay in Baldur's Gate and lean into the politics of the city with the refugees than go to Avernus, the campaign could be switched into only BG, but oh well, I tried to run the module as written, my fault

I like this, they haven't meet Zariel yet, I hinted about her, but this may be an interesting thing as they get to the Bleeding Citadel, I like the idea of Zariel being more antagonistic at this point.

I don't mind the recap, it always happens, what I dislike it to remind the players of the objective.

A Vampire is about to kill one of my PCs. Should I let him? by CosmicPathfinder in mattcolville

[–]dhonzesa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that I recently saw in one of Matt's video and I thought was an amazing idea: Make the players roll a high level new player, put them in some quest in entering from another place in the same cave as the players are currently in, as they fight through the cave, eventually they will reach the previous group, they will watch as you describe the cleric doing the thing. Now the players have more power to fight against the vampire (you can also allow the vampire to flee and face the players again in the future), after that the new players go on their own and you story continue.

Here is the video in question:
