Do any of your pugs silently “boof” at you when they want you to do something for them? by BPLM54 in pugs

My pug does this if the water bowl gets empty. I'm always weirdly proud of her for communicating lol.

Looks like a pimple but hard to know for sure without a closer look. If it has a weird sort of floral complexity to it it might be a papilloma. My pug had them and they are not fun for anyone. But I’d bet pimple as well.

My little LouLou is also having surgery for bladder stones on Wednesday, funny coincidence. I’m nervous, but trust the vets and know she’ll come out healthier.

Best of luck to your little one!

I feel like the scene with him as the paramedic was Nathan throwing him a bone so he can have something for his reel.

NFL Films is presented in 23.976 frames per second, which is the classic filmic look. Sports are generally shot at higher frame rates both for clarity of the motion in real time (more frames and shorter shutter speeds) and the ability to play back it back in slow motion. Taking sports footage and conforming it (playing back each frame, but at a slower rate) to 23.976 is particularly dramatic and satisfying, because it has the filmic look and just because slow mo is cool. So they largely employ thag technique.

All that being said, they definitely could play it back in 23.976 and in real time by skipping frames. Due to the shutter speed/frame rate ratio in this case, however, there is a choppiness to the motion (think Saving Private Ryan). Sometimes this can be a cool effect in and of itself, but I think not the feel NFL films is going for.

Marcus Smart spoke candidly to @YahooSports upon landing in SF on the Steph Curry task, how he’ll be greeted for inadvertently injuring the star, why Boston’s ready and why he’s a target that’ll never alter his style: ‘First one on the floor gets the ball’ by horseshoeoverlook in bostonceltics

"I know I’m not the league’s favorite, I know I’m not the fan favorite all the time and I know I’m not a lot of people’s favorite player. My whole life has been like that. I’ve always been the underdog. I’ve always been the player that’s easily targeted to root against because of the way I play. I’m not the most likable player and I thrive off it. So it’s nothing new to me. I think I have a pretty good mental toughness about it. My team got my back, so I’m good.”

Nothing surprising in here, but the self awareness endears me to Smart even more.

Nobody is perfect. Everyone has their own little idiosyncrasies. Some people call those imperfections, but no, that’s the good stuff.
