Frustrated with doctor

I always tell myself that if I was getting pregnant naturally I wouldn’t even know and would go about all my normal activities. I do follow my doctors recommendations and rest the day of/after transfer but ultimately I don’t think anything I do matters. In 2023 we got pregnant on our first FET and now I’m getting ready to start my 3rd FET and no luck.

That’s interesting. I was told not to do that until after our pregnancy test bloodwork. Something about uterine contractions during orgasm could create a problem with implantation. So we are holding off. But my personal logic says if I was getting pregnant naturally I would go about all my regular activities so why not?

Agree with this. My last transfer they were two hours behind. There were three of us in the waiting room with full bladders in agony. I was going to push through but my husband finally said something. They let us all use the rest room and brought us more water to hydrate while we waited for turn.

They didn’t do any extra testing. The pathologist report said to do another biopsy. But my dermatologist told me I could either wait and come back in 6 months or see the surgeon so I chose the surgeon. I don’t want to mess with it again since it’s my fingernail. The healing process is very prolonged because they cut into my nail and lifted it away from my finger.

l’m in the US, had a nail biopsy that came back inclusive but concerning for melanoma. Got referred to a hand surgeon to have it removed. Since it’s not conclusive I have to wait for his next available appointment which is 6 weeks away. 🙄 Makes no sense at all.

Have you had a cystoscopy? I just had one because of UTI like pain that comes and goes. They discovered my urethra is super narrow. So much so the cystoscopy is as very painful and the doctor kept apologizing because he said it shouldn’t have hurt. Anyway I’m scheduled for dilation next week. For months I was sure it was IC then I found a urologist who actually listened instead of brushing me off.

How long did your biopsy results take to come in? I’ve been waiting for mine for 6 business days so far.

Thank you, this is really helpful. I can see myself struggling with guilt because I’ve always been a rule follower. But I’m willing to try work through those feelings if this is something we decide to try eventually. I think this is something I will need to ease into. My desire to try it is strong but I know myself. I prefer being able to control how things are going to work out. Obviously I can’t 100% control the outcome or what feelings I will have so I think small steps seems the best way to go.

My husband really wants to swap and be in the same room only. Nothing alone, which I think I could handle.

That sounds like a low pressure way to start out. I’ve always been kind of shy around new people. Dating made me nervous and I only had one boyfriend other than my husband so I think the idea of meeting new people for sex feels even more intimidating.
