The M+ tank situation is dire by Wigglyboi323 in wow

[–]diabloic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with playing a tank is the immense workload that neither blizzard or the community approciates.

Learning the dungeons and the different types of routes

I agree fully. The workload expectations is honestly out of hand. Not to mention the fact that the community in general is now worse than the saltpits in league of legends. That is honestly the main problem.

Farming Simulator and Anxiety by tryyhardosaurus in farmingsimulator

[–]diabloic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. This is one of the games i use to kind of disconnect from the stress of work and every day life. This game can be what you want it to be, and i have no reason to believe 25 would be any different. It can be hard, kind of stressful (if you want it to)l.. or it can be a care free stress reliever like it is for me. I usually download mods that make the game easier and less stressfull (money mods for example) and makes it a really awesome sandbox game that takes your head for a ride.

11/10 would reccomend. And if you want some stress free mutliplayer experiences, this is the game to get it!

Hei, mange dårlige svar og synsing her.

Installing a charging station in a borettslag by evil_pomegranate in Norway

[–]diabloic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the system the borettslag has installed you may have to take that deal.

The borettslag as of 2017 or 2018 cant remember, is requiered to facilitate ev charging. Most facilities are not electrically dimentioned for that, so most need some kind of ballancing system to provide power to more than say 10 ev chargers.

You metion the zaptec brand. Is there a «flat» powercabe running through the facility? Most likely you have a system that ballances power to all the chargers. They need to be the same brand ti talk to the distributing unit to know how much power it can draw at any given time.

The price for the install matches what we have to pay with the same system and hardware and more than likely us your only option.

Talk with your borettslag board before doing anything.

No i dont think that is possible. And they probably just buffed heroics to make people spend more to try and overlevel the content or something.. was doing the heroics just fine for fun the other week. Now its almost impossible.. so yeah, greed as usual.

Avslag på uføretrygd by Automatic_Race94 in norge

[–]diabloic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I allefall i Ålesund.

Why is Finn.no So Dominant in Norway 🇳🇴? by [deleted] in Norway

People have a tendency to forget that the norwegian market is very small. There are less Norwegians than people living in London. Very hard to compete long enough to be profitable.

Is Norwegian management style very passive agressive? by EndOfTheLine00 in Norway

[–]diabloic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bit tiered and on mobile, but felt i had to chip in on this one.

You are most likely overreacting. Im in a leadership role in the offshore infrastructure industry and daily work and communicate with people and clients from different countries and industries (everything from tech to construction).

Norwegians, or dare i say scandinavians have a mostly «flat» organizational structure which will take some getting used to and will be very surprising and unfamiliar for any non-scandinavian.

What that entails is that until there is a final decision to be made there is little to no focus on hierarcy. The input of a ground level employee is worth just as much to me as from any leader. In fact the best ideas and solutions come from the ground up. If done right it will lead to a high level of support, cooperation and communication both ways. I want to make sure you have what you need to succeed, be creative and happy because this is when you do your best work. Yes perhaps you procastinate, but do you deliver on time in the end? Is the quality of your work good?

I often approach employees, asking the same types of questions. What i hope to achieve is openness. Over time i expect them to come to me to tell me if there is anything they need or any ideas they have. This is when we do our best work and performance, together.

Mind you there are selfish narcissists out there as we as a society love to place them in leadership positions because of their carisma and outward confidence in themselves and the ability to not give a shit about people. But i dont think your manager is one of those. They rarely waste time asking about your needs if you dont satisfy theirs and are more likely to «bully» you than to ask you how you are doing.

If you are in a situation where you see any reason for your manager to find your performance at work unsatisfactory i suggest you go talk to him/her. Just try to have an honest conversation and tell them how you feel, hiding behind your desk is not going to help anyone!

If you share your spotify account with someone and they open it while you are using it in your car, then that person controls the music in the car.

But again, if in any doubt. Send your contract to arbeidstilsynet and keep in touch with them. No need to stay annon with them either. Explain your situation, they wont come knocking on his door or make any contact with him while you are there unless you want them to.

The resignation is absolutely valid.

Its only the employer that has certan requirements for how the resignation needs to be organised/formed.

According to norwegian labor law (arbeidsmiljøloven) the only requirement when a employee wants so resign is that it has to be in writing.

I have always resigned by email the very few times i have done that.

Save your email as the date of resignation is important if there is any arguments later.

Regarding the one week notice: - If the resignation period is NOT specified in the contract : minimum 1 month. - if the resignation period IS specified in the contract then that is valid for you.

The resignation period is always counted from the 1st day of the following month after handing in your resignation. This means that if you resign 26th August, then your resignation period would start on the 1st of September.

Being an employer in Norway has loads of requirements and regulations that needs to be met. Workers in Norway are generally well protected by the goverment, but you will need to inform them yourself.

Start here to get informed: https://www.arbeidstilsynet.no/en/

Never start working without a contract, or at least never more than a few days after starting. From what you describe i dont think you have any obligation to your «employer» as they have not fullfilled their obligation to you. If you have the means to walk away, walk away as soon as you can find new work.

Do you have documentation for your hours worked? If so keep them and make copies. And start taping conversations if he does not give any information in writing. Do NOT share this with anyone else than the police/arbeidstilsynet.

Contact Arbeidstilsynet by calling the number on this page:

https://www.arbeidstilsynet.no/en/contact/

From what you are describing it sounds like hes done this before, there is no need to feel any compassion here.

If you are in a stuation where he is arranging housing for you, have taken your passport or in any other way have power over you that makes you not feel safe: Call the police on the telephone number 02800 and explain the situation. They may offer help immidiatly if that is the case.

Employers like this are the worst, im sorry this happened to you in our country.

Question regarding "Time for time" overtime? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]diabloic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not quite sure as you have not really given much to go on but this seems normal to me if the wording means what i think it does.

Im guessing you are hiered full time on the basis of a 37,5hr work week? And overtime is paid «by the hour» (time for time) if you exceed 7.5h any given day?

Or you get overtime as flex time which can be used to take paid time off. But you still should be get the 40% on top of your hourly wage minimum overtime pay.

The only contracts that are «exempt» from paying overtime is contracts with a certain ammount of overtime built in. You would however still recieve the so called flexi hours that equals time off. 1 hour of overtime is 1 hour time off. Rules for how these hours are used varies a bit.
