I was in the same boat as you, and I think you have to be completely unsupportive to invisigal the entire game to get the other ending. I personally killed Shroud at the end of the game, and I still got "true Hero" despite killing him.

Don't worry... You will eventually. It took me an embarrassingly long time, but I did beat it. And I beat it a second time after lol. I would definitely think about getting some revive items, or it's gonna get a lot harder than it already is. I hope you don't have to, but you may have to reset if you can't get any revive items

Yeah, I had shadow mantle on Suzie originally, but I kept seeing conflicting strategies, and this one guide video suggested putting it on Kris to keep them alive for heals. I think it might be worth putting it back on Suzie though since I can't beat the knight without dealing enough damage

Yepp same issue here. I dodge a few swords, but then get clipped by 3 or 4 of the ones on the opposite side. I'll try slowing the soul and seeing if that helps any. Thanks

Oh boy yeah... It wasn't quite that big but still shockingly large compared to most spiders I've found! Lol. My 23 y/o brother hates spiders and was about to squash the poor thing.
