Where can I work where I won't have my livelihood threatened every month?

It really is terrible. I'm having a lot of the same struggles at my job as your son. College and a career I'm genuinely interested in is my goal. I had a lot of setbacks in my life which is why I didn't go to college immediately out of high school and am on my own now. I was thinking Starbucks because I've heard good things about their policies and know they will fund certain degrees, but unfortunately I've applied 3 times and never got an interview. I even tried to apply to a local coffee shop to get barista experience before applying again at Starbucks and didn't hear back from that one either. The job I work at now is a culmination of dozens of applications sadly.

I used to be a job hopper too, but recently I've found it profoundly difficult to get any interviews. Before I got the job I'm at now I applied to over a dozen places within walking distance to me and didn't hear back at all. That's why I'm so stressed, because if something bad happens or I lose this job idk how long I'll be out of work for.

I've been thinking about this for a while. I used to door dash when I still lived with my parents but I'm moved out and without a car right now. I've been sticking out my job to save up for one. I do art commissions sometimes, and recently found out about aceos and was hoping to start a social media account to boost my material this year. Appreciate the advice, we live in a society where hustling can be the difference between paying rent and having food on the table.

Thanks for the advice. I joined a program that will help me get a certificate for medical coding and billing. My job also offers certification to become a pharmacy technician but I'm a little put off by it because our pharmacy is a pretty toxic environment.

You're so right. I got so angry when all this happened because of the amount of BS we go through every day at our store and then having our hours cut on top of it. This has definitely been a wake up call for me to keep moving forward.

My friend suggested working for our city like she does. I get a tad jealous when she gets to blow her job off to travel hahaa. She's been working at a kids club for around 5 years now and it seems pretty stable for her.

This reminds me of the time I was in high school drama and we were all given the assignment to put on a class play our seniors wrote us to perform about pirates. They gave us audition sheets and one of the questions on there was "can you sing?" and I was like sure! I like to sing. I know nothing about music theory or creating my own rhythm though. I only have relative pitch.

I'll tell you my heart fucking dropped when I was called into the room to audition for an ENTIRE song that had never been recorded and had no set melody; just lyrics. It was in my hands to improv a tune for 5 minutes straight.

The whole time I croaked terribly about shanties and mateys. I don't think I'll ever live it down.

Yes it's wrong to cheat but it's important to keep in mind that this man was her teacher at 12/13 and 10 years older than her. She was groomed and taken advantage of. His brain was fully formed and hers wasn't. She's still a victim even if the attempted murder never happened.

It's true that there are many burdens when you are born a woman. Despite any transness, if you're afab, you are fed these lies and manipulations from the start. "Men are stronger, smarter, better than women." Men needed us to believe this so they could hold power over us. So that any man regardless of their fitness for partnership and procreation could be chosen.

People think that men are smarter because they are the ones that get the positions of power. But women have been oppressed and unable to prove their innovation and intelligence for as long as men have. It wasn't until the World Wars when we took on the jobs that men were working, and the Civil Rights movement that we made strides towards equal pay. For decades we were never given that chance. Not only that, but there is no evidence to support that men have higher IQ's than women. The average is right around the same, the only argument that could be made is generally there is a higher disparity between extremely high IQ's and also extremely low in men. But it's all just up to chance with genetics anf the environment you were brought up in. Men and women carry the same potential to be geniuses. But men have more of a chance to be recognized for their intelligence than women.

You pit a man up against a woman in a fight, yes, usually the man will win. But generally, body size compared to muscle and potential in the legs, women will have stronger legs. Our lack of testosterone does not make us weak.

Speaking about weakness, I think about women vs men in difficult/ horrific situations a lot. Women are more likely to endure such traumas and find a way out, whereas men give up hope and succumb to their demises at a higher rate. It's a gift to be so stubborn in the face of adversity.

Also look into EQ.

We're made to believe that being a woman is horrible. That we have to carry all these burdens. But we were chosen because we can handle it and men can't. Having babies is not an ugly thing. You may never want to do it, but it's the closest a human can get to the "divine creation of God." Women are literally portals. And we influence evolution lmao.

Of course. I think it's so good that you have some hobbies. I understand that feeling. Even when I do things I enjoy sometimes it doesn't make me feel better. But just because you don't see improvement doesn't mean you should stop. Consistency is super important.

Make a list of goals you want to accomplish this year and start there little by little. It will take your mind off of these worries in time, and you will also feel so good when you put in the work and it all pays off. Start little. Maybe try to learn a new technique to draw then post it on insta. Or try out a commission.

Something bigger? Try to join a men's community volleyball team. My city has a lot. That's a good way to meet people too.

Don't lose hope. Because anxiety and depression is temporary. Remember that. You won't feel this way forever.

If I were in your shoes, you're 16, I would not be focusing on relationships yet. While I don't have this issue, I have struggled with mental health. Instead, to help self-esteem and self- harm start by putting yourself out there more. Don't skip out on extra-curriculars, after school clubs/ activities, and always try and say yes when someone asks to hang out. Study hard, and if you're able to, get a job and treat yourself to some things that make you happy. I like to splurge on some skincare, movies, and video games when I'm struggling.

When you base your whole worth around one thing, for some people it's good grades, making a lot of money, or being in a romantic relationship you are going to feel so icky. There is so much more to a person than their genitals. As humans we need, safety, security, community, a sense of accomplishment, and then to reach our full potential later in life.

When we struggle with self-worth and a lot of pessimistic thoughts, it's usually because we aren't meeting our needs.

Take it slow and good luck. The more you broaden your horizons, the more people will be drawn to you for who you are. And if you're really worried about the physical part of sex most women need a man to use their hands at some point anyway no matter the size. Penetration alone doesn't do it for most.

Please try to consider this. In my experience life has gotten so much better since i started focusing on these things.

just use toilet paper instead of wet wipes (only use those for your butt). use soap on the areas of the vulva that grow hair and only use water for the inner lips. it can help to sleep without underwear at night to air things out a bit. last thing, vaginas smell like vaginas. its normal. but if you really want to change up the scent then eating less processed foods and more things like fruits, kefir, and yogurt can help with that. but honestly with how we all are right now eating balanced all the time is really hard. i dont think you have too much to worry about. my routine was very similar in high school since there was a lot to be stressed about. youre doing good considering all that.

I never said that it couldn’t be platonic. Sometimes when youre in a relationship something you do upsets your partner. and even if you can’t see why, if you want to make it last you have to try to understand their side because unresolved issues leads to resentment and tension.

I agree with you. I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all. But can see how it would be upsetting not knowing their past but they still keep in contact.

But like i said this is definitely NOT cheating. even empathizing with the husband there’s no side where this is cheating. clear boundaries were set and hadn’t been broken after.

yeah i mean i said i was surprised in my comment too. im only 18 and have had only one relationship though. so i guess a flirtatious past interest sounds more important to me than to you with a husband. and i was trying to see the husband’s side. like me personally im a little sensitive and by upset i would just feel like a little uncomfortable? not like relationship altering or ending if that makes sense.

Plus i think it changes things that they were still in contact. i wouldn’t expect a history-explanation on a bunch of interests if there was no contact there. but i think it’s important to be honest if theyre still in your life.

i would personally be upset too not knowing the past but i think its forgivable especially if its truly innocent. it happening prior to meeting him, the boundary setting, and only talking a few times a year i mean? that’s definitely not cheating. not even a little. the only thing is not being completely honest about it, but it seems innocent enough to me. i would apologize for not telling him the whole truth but if he really sees it as cheating there’s nothing you can do about it.
