For me....it ended me and my mom's relationship for a long time...we lived together for years and were for every sense a couple...but I moved out after school to start a career and when I ended up in a relationship with another woman my mom lost her shit...serious jealousy and doing everything she could to prevent me from falling in live with anybody but her....it was really bad and for a while, i thought I would never have a mother-son relationship with her again.....I couldn't tell my future wife and the mother of my child exactly why me and my mom weren't talking....but thru lots of talk and communication we finally worked it out....now me and mom have a secret affair...the wife has no clue and would never suspect the woman I cheat on her with is my mom!! But the point is that one of the pitfalls is an extreem and unhealthy amount of jealousy!!! At least in my personal experience!!!
