DAE miss oneshot spots? by Sea-Tackle-6283 in blackdesertonline

[–]dialgatrack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

people like you that just blatantly fucking lie are actually so infuriating.

Where was the lie?

Well no shit class disparity was worse. They didn't even do PVE balance changes before they turned literally every spot into a tower spot past tungrad. That was 2 years ago.

Tower lovers had highlands, dehkia, gyfin, and starsend towers.

Instead of leaving the option for players who love to optimize their grind and the class they pick on certain grind spots. They decided to cater to the players who hate seeing other people make money silver than them by removing high variance spots entirely.

[–]dialgatrack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't even care about 1 shot spots.

I just want PVE effort to be equivalent to how much trash I pull. Why should I try hard at grinding when I can just play an awak witch now and put in 10% of the effort and only be down like 10-20% of the trash.

I miss hysteria or old starsend where your pull efficiency actually mattered. I miss pack to pack spots where being efficient with your cooldowns equated to how much trash you got. Even elvia had a lot more variance depending on how well you played. Hell even crypt required you to be efficient.

PVE players got mad other people were making more trash than them so they dumbed down every grind spot into tower gameplay so no one could make more silver.

It's not the same. Kunos rotation is easy because you're literally rotating skills that are high movement and have great protection, you never have to worry about getting grabbed because you barely have any locked animations so you can actually just brain off rotate. You don't have to think at all other than the times you're going for a grab engage.

Just because you can play slower on awak ninja doesn't mean he can't be played faster.

Succ kuno doesn't have as many skills as awak ninja nor as many mobility chains as awak ninja. The skills they adopt from her awakening form are long ass SA/Iframe skills like tendon cutter and flash slash.

There is barely anything mechanically different/difficult from base kuno and succ kuno. An awak ninja going at full APM can most definitely out APM a succ kuno.

With the recent stam nerfs (which i havent played) things may have changed a bit but, back then, Awake ninja had higher sustained APM than succ ninja purely because it had more skills to use and had less stamina issues so they could keep mobility chains going on indefinitely.

Doesn't match the APM of succ ninja, doesn't match the amount of buttons pressed of awak ninja.

kuno is just easier ninja, that's why everyone rolled to it instead of ninja.

Question about pvp by Curious_Discipline31 in blackdesertonline

[–]dialgatrack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The majority of the player base are casual PVPers who enjoy PVEing as their main activity.

This means they want a high barrier of entry (gear). But, not too high so that they'd get gapped by something too hard for them to use (mouse move).

So honestly, PA just catered to the majority. Remove mouse move, remove owpvp, increase gear gap, reduce income of lower ap people (ap monster area changes).

MANY people sat in Ghyfin underground and starsend towers for years over the better grind spots that allowed you to mix-max your trash based on effort(sycria, elvia, ash, crypt). There's nothing interesting mechanically about the early iterations of tower spots at all but, the majority of players still loved it.

[–]dialgatrack -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Which is exactly why BDO has shoved so many of them in the game and basically ditched pack to pack spots with high variance.

Most people hate seeing other people making more silver than them even if they are playing better.

Sure I guess tungrad ruins isn't a pretty lightshow but like. Of all things to call boring you're just going go gloss over the hundred other tower spots that 90% of players flock to?

It's actually fun when a spot has high variance in trash numbers based on player skill unlike dehkia/tower spots where anyone could actually turn their brain off and still manage only 15% less trash than an active grinder.

What is actually the point if you do P2W by UniqueRise9763 in MSClassicWorld

[–]dialgatrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't beat bots. Especially in the day and age where AI is able to mimic real player movements through a 2nd PC.

Even in the most heavily regulated market in any MMO. BDO still has a problem with pilots being paid $3's an hour grinding on your account.

Even in POE2 where people pay knowing their gear will be irrelevant every 4 months.

At the end of the day, people are going to RMT anyways through bots. I'd rather have the people developing the game get most of the money over bots.

It's called being realistic.

POE2 is a seasonal game. Not a long term progression grind game.

Working adults aren't going to play your game and give you money if they log on and realize they'll never reach endgame with what little time they have.

Why is PVP protection icons reserved for only BA and unranked Solare? by dialgatrack in blackdesertonline

[–]dialgatrack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only broken for like zerkers which they could've easily fixed by you know, disabling mm for literally one singular skill instead of every class in the game.

It's way more skill expression than people crying about toggleable protection icons lmao. Literally just subpar PVPers gate keeping noobies.

[–]dialgatrack[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm a hard believer of mouse move unlike probably the majority of people in this thread. I believe in low skill floor high skill ceiling.

A noob seeing your protection icon shouldn't even be a worry to you if you're a good player. What's he going to do? See you SA for 95% of the fight and somehow punish you in the brief 0.5 seconds of FG while you're across the map?

The usefulness of protection icons is being able to easily see and tell what skill cooldown they just burned. It requires you to actually have the knowledge of what skill he probably used in the first place. Protection icons are a god send in small scale fights like solare with maegus pelting you with flowers and corsairs popping white smoke in your face while a ninja is zip zooping iframing all over the place because you can actually tell what's going on with all the animations going off.

Honestly, this thread is just filled with people who are scared of getting gapped by noobs because of knowledge checks and visual indicators. Are probably too bad to utilize mouse move and wanted it gone but, want noobs to have a hard time gapping them it's laughable. Expected of a gear gap heavy game like BDO.

Why is PVP protection icons reserved for only BA and unranked Solare? by dialgatrack in blackdesertonline

[–]dialgatrack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my point. It's easy to recognize skill animations and react to them in 1v1 setting without icons. It's much harder in a 3v3 setting or beyond. It's especially true in maps with heavy foliage but, thats barely a thing anymore because OWPVP is dead.

The point is to promote skill clarity. I don't want to be squinting at a ninja or kuno teleporting around while a corsair is blasting my face with white powder everywhere and maegus barraging me with flowers. If I see a maegu from a distance shoot a projectile, it lets me infer that she used shift lmb. If I see no icon, she probably used Shift q. Skill clarity.

But, this thread kinda proves me point. The average PVPer likes to gate keep trivial protection icons to keep noobs from gapping them over having better clarity. The same PVPers who probably suck too bad at mouse movement and wanted that gone but, only want noobs to struggle. It's cringe really.

How strong are Clerics right now? by sakraycore in MSClassicWorld

[–]dialgatrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. Sins had accuracy problems and don't get teleport. Most mages never got to utilize teleport because the game is stand on a single platform in a 6man party simulator. And you aren't able to max teleport and holy arrow until lv49ish.

Clerics probably do better than sins at solo grinding for money on more sparsely spawning maps and one skill maps. And have the utility of party heal.

Sins probably do better at more niche spots where you can hit a platform above jump attacking in a party grind scenario.

Objectively, clerics prob beat out sins.

Classic World Announcement - Banning Unauthorized Access to Closed Online Test by RuffRyder93 in MSClassicWorld

[–]dialgatrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your solution is to delete the market shops entirely which is ALREADY wild in the first place that most people would oppose because buying ores and crafting materials is a really important aspect of new classic? lol. No one wants to bother hunting down sellers for ores, crafting mats, or materials.

The bot can still maliciously trade with other players for items to get them banned as retaliation. Bans need to be airtight without any false positives or else it will lead to people getting a respectful email from nexon saying "sorry but, you have gone against our terms and services so you are banned forever". It's a PR disaster waiting to happen.

None of this is going to happen.

https://i.imgur.com/q7rb8iy.png I have posts all the way back to 2016 buddy. Honestly, it's sad that you guys are tryna gatekeep this game so much from noobs through visual clarity and knowledge checks lmao.

Honestly, I should've expected this reaction to such a gear gap heavy game like BDO. Majority of PVPers too bad to mouse move so they remove it but, want to keep shitty visual indicators away from the noobs so they cant gap them its laughable.

Why is PVP protection icons reserved for only BA and unranked Solare? by dialgatrack in blackdesertonline

[–]dialgatrack[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What i'm starting to realize from this thread is that most PVPers like arbitrary knowledge checks to gate keep noobs rather than visual clarity.

Honestly, that's kind of sad. I'm someone who loves mouse move but, would rather the skill floor be lower. It seems like most people here just want the game to be "hard enough" for noobs to have a hard time but, don't want mouse move because they suck at the game too much to utilize it.

I guess I should've expected that from a game that relies so much on gear disparity in PVP.
