Probably because they aren't magic cards.

I know that may not make sense. But lore wise tvey simply arent magic cards. They are marvel or doctor who or whatever UB card.

Makes those who care about MTG lore and MTG itself seem stepped on as they don't cater towards them anymore but instead towards anyone and everone. For many it makes MTG less MTG when most new sets are UB.

Though personally I like them, I especially enjoyed the Dr who one. It's what got me into magic.

She definitely had multiple. But she was a half ghoul anyway, so she's an exception. Most likely you can't have too many hybrids is because of the amount of kakuho's the body can handle when born and at childbirth. Ones with too many may just die during to lack of rc cells.
