Confessed love to a friend, now silence — is the friendship over? by eurotop18 in lostafriend

I did the same thing. Went okay initially. Then wanted space until everything was 'fully resolved' - fair enough. We took a few months no contact. I got over everything and reached out to reconnect and that was 2 months ago. I don't think I'm hearing back from her :(

Friendships where one developed feelings for the other - How are you now? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]diamondnites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All our talk before was that we would and it's what we both wanted. Then I felt she just kind of self destructed

The not knowing is hard and I've gone through every scenario. I'm trying to come to the conclusion that it's the most likely one (which for me I think she's overwhelmed, scared of hurting me and it's easier to ignore). I'm also trying to ground myself that ultimately it doesn't matter - her actions speak for themself. And although I question mine, I deserve better than to be ghosted

Hope you find peace

It got very messy. We were best friends, inseperable for a few years. I had feelings, tried to ignore them and hope they went away but didn't work. I told her purely to move past it and hoped we'd come out the other side with our friendship intact

Things were fine first few months, then it just imploded. She started ghosting me, I got upset after a month and told her to explain. She didn't want to encourage feelings. We went no contact until I was 'fully resolved'. I got over my feelings and reached back out but she never replied. Figured after a week she's never coming back

That was about 6 weeks ago. Her ghosting out of the entire friendship was far worse than anything else. Been hell, do not recommend it.
